Buchelnikov has extra year in NHL . Wonder if he could get loaned to GR . Is it possible?
Buch would have to buy out his last year on his KHL contract once his season is done and then sign an ELC with the wings, so never say never, but a long shot.Buchelnikov has extra year in NHL . Wonder if he could get loaned to GR . Is it possible?
Michkov was able to terminate his KHL contract to play for the Flyers this year and I think he had 2 or 3 years remaining on it.Buch would have to buy out his last year on his KHL contract once his season is done and then sign an ELC with the wings, so never say never, but a long shot.
Although moving Husso did open another contract slot for this season, so just maybe…it was for him to go with any college kids SY plans on signing up this year.
I thought it might be for Trey, but could be Buch![]()
I think the difference between these two is that Michkov knew he wasn't going to spend time in the AHL, earning way less.Michkov was able to terminate his KHL contract to play for the Flyers this year and I think he had 2 or 3 years remaining on it.
I don't know all of the details of the termination but hopefully Boosh can do something similar if he decides he wants to.
I believe many KHL contracts have a mutual play/team buyout termination clauses in them, so long as someone pays the team (I think it has to be the player, I could be wrong) the player can terminate the contract.Michkov was able to terminate his KHL contract to play for the Flyers this year and I think he had 2 or 3 years remaining on it.

If there was time this season, they could still do a 3 year ELC and have him play/dress for 11 NHL games, that would burn a year too...I'll have to go back and look at the rules...when I am not in a lazy moodOne way for us to pay for his termination would be to give him a bonus heavy contract.
He is also 21, will be 22 in September. They might wait until then, because that will give him a 2 year ELC instead og 3 years.
I agree, that is the most likely event, as there is no real spot for him until Kane or Tank moves on...it really depends upon SY and Buch when they collectively think he is ready and a realistic spot is open.Guessing Buch wont b a DRW next year. Doubt the team would guarantee him a roster spot.
There are also Mazur, Lombardi and Danielson , all NHL readyGuessing Buch wont b a DRW next year. Doubt the team would guarantee him a roster spot.
Mazur would be at the top of my list in terms of guys to make the team next year. Especially if we are talking about guys that make sense in the bottom 6.Say there is only one spot for either of these two players next year, who would you want to get it? Lombardi or Buchelnikov?
I think I like Lombardi more.
Two point night for Buch including this insane beauty:
While my hype for Danielson and MBN is fading by the day, my hype for this team with Buch, Kiiskinen and ASP in a few years is getting me pretty excited.
He should be given every opportunity to win a 4th line spot. I’ll be surprised if he isn’t a regular on the 4th line next year.Mazur would be at the top of my list in terms of guys to make the team next year. Especially if we are talking about guys that make sense in the bottom 6.
Lombardi is a viable prospect, but not nearly as close as you think he is.Say there is only one spot for either of these two players next year, who would you want to get it? Lombardi or Buchelnikov?

I think both have a big hill to climb in terms of showing they can hold up to NHL physicality.Lombardi is a viable prospect, but not nearly as close as you think he is.
They should bring him for couple of games this seasonHe should be given every opportunity to win a 4th line spot. I’ll be surprised if he isn’t a regular on the 4th line next year.
