He would need to sign with the Wings in order to be loaned, but with an extra year left on his contract in Russia I don't see how that happens. Guess you never know but I would count on him in the KHL again next year.

Michkov was able to terminate his KHL contract to play for the Flyers this year and I think he had 2 or 3 years remaining on it.
I don't know all of the details of the termination but hopefully Boosh can do something similar if he decides he wants to.

I think the difference between these two is that Michkov knew he wasn't going to spend time in the AHL, earning way less.

I believe many KHL contracts have a mutual play/team buyout termination clauses in them, so long as someone pays the team (I think it has to be the player, I could be wrong) the player can terminate the contract.

He is also 21, will be 22 in September. They might wait until then, because that will give him a 2 year ELC instead og 3 years.

If there was time this season, they could still do a 3 year ELC and have him play/dress for 11 NHL games, that would burn a year too...I'll have to go back and look at the rules...when I am not in a lazy mood

I agree, that is the most likely event, as there is no real spot for him until Kane or Tank moves on...it really depends upon SY and Buch when they collectively think he is ready and a realistic spot is open.

But I could see him making the trek over to have a shot this year, I don't think there is a way to sign him and then loan him him to a KHL club... however, SY could sign him and lend him to a SHL or other Euro league club next year...if he had to...because he didn't want to play in the AHL (Politics aside)

While my hype for Danielson and MBN is fading by the day, my hype for this team with Buch, Kiiskinen and ASP in a few years is getting me pretty excited.

I think I like Lombardi more.

Mazur would be at the top of my list in terms of guys to make the team next year. Especially if we are talking about guys that make sense in the bottom 6.

While my hype for Danielson and MBN is fading by the day, my hype for this team with Buch, Kiiskinen and ASP in a few years is getting me pretty excited.

Have never been high on both of them, but they will be in NHL at some point and they will improve. Danielson needs to get stronger and MBN work on his skating. Who knows , both could be our first line in the future

Lombardi is a viable prospect, but not nearly as close as you think he is.

I think both have a big hill to climb in terms of showing they can hold up to NHL physicality.

Ammo has NHL level creativity IMO. His point production in the AHL does show some promise. Buch is a total wild card if you ask me, no telling what if anything the Wings will get from him.
