Best refs we’ve had all playoffs. Area to work on in Game 2 is face offs, but I swear Nesbitt’s been tossed out of the dot more this playoffs than Abraham has in his career lol.

They will come out harder, but when 3/6 top forwards are out, the systems they are used too get challenged very quickly. I have no doubt the team knows what to do, but the veteran guys know that system way better than the 3 guys that just played their first playoff game. Bad timing for everything, but that's hockey!
I think Home Ice is also a huge factor. Down Half your Top 6, and don’t want to allow the home team to put Protas/Tree/Morneau against your 4th line. The remaining Top guys can quickly get gassed if the bench is trying to start them out there every other shift.
Nowhere to go from there then.
Refs r not consistent as anyone knows watching ohl hockey..
Thats a tough challenge to drive offence and get wins. I haven’t gone back yet to watch the replay in Humphreys but live it looked like a Ranger hit him.

Nice work on the excuses, it almost sounds like you believe them. Whatever system you think three missing veteran scrubs is going to fix isn't enough to close the gap between these two teams. The Spitfires had more talent walking around in street clothes last night than the Rangers have in their entire organization, so spare us the injury tears.

I’m hearing we got 21st, 30th and 45th Overall Tonight. Guess the conditionals were met?
Nowhere near a Belchetz grab, but Christoforo was 22nd, Nesbitt was a 20th. 3 Picks in the Top 50 is quite nice.
Looks like nothing else until the 6th if Gens Database is up to date.
Curious how it goes with the new rules. Wonder if we swing on any US kids. I don’t think we have a ton of space on next years roster, but could see a couple kids making the team.

Was not able to watch last night but a question for either fan base- are any of the injuries to the Kitchener players a confirmed out for Saturday's game or is this all just speculation?
Also is Woodall a confirmed out for the season as well?

League website has Windsor with a pick in the 4th and 5th rd. As well 2 picks in the 6th.

From what I've heard, I don't necessarily expect anyone back by Saturday. Things could change but I didn't get a "yeah, he's almost ready" vibe.
Windsor has a fourth from Brampton/Mississauga and a fifth from Sarnia. The Sarnia deal just happened yesterday. I'm trying to find the fourth-rounder and... I'm blanking. Unless there was a condition with the Zito deal that one of the Miss picks became a 4th in 2025?

Humphreys (concussion protocol?) Could be back Saturday. The play looked harmless, and while there was blood, I guess they didn't want to risk it.

This season... 34 games, 21 goals, 76 points, Halton Hurricanes U16 AAA OMHA U16.... 69 games, 51 goals, 136 points Halton Hurricanes U16 AAA. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, been in Canada for two seasons.

Id imagine so. That's what I expected after the 1st period, didn’t realize there was more to the injury.
I still am a stickler for going D in the draft. Offense comes in many ways from unsuspecting surprises like a Morneau and cheaper to acquirethan top D. With Belchetz, Garden Brocklehurst Nesbitt and likley Greentree and Spellacy. Spellacy could break out in Offense given a top line minutes and another year crafting his shot. Offense should be fine. Who knows maybe the Caps gift us Protas another year though doubtful. Late import draft selection liklely will be 1 or 2 forwards selecting that deep in the draft.
Sementskov not in top 35 most ranking lists I've seen. Throw in the new NCAA bound players and this draft is going to be wild to follow. Players telling some teams not a chance to going to a team of choice will be a factor. Hold on for a crazy ride.

Only played 3 games this season, injured through out the remainder of the season (Knee injury). Put up really good numbers in 2023-24 33 points in 24 games for Lambton JR Sting. 6 foot, around 165 lbs. Will be good to go health wise for training camp. Ranked 10th overall in January.

I've seen him listed 6' 157, 5'10 150, and I think 5'9 150 (OHL draft on TV). Apparently, he's shifty, offensive, and long-term potential. It's just the knee was an issue this season. The hope is that he's ready for training camp, per the TV, so I don't know. Maybe one of those "Windsor can afford to gamble" things?
He was ranked 10th overall last January 2024. Could be a steal once healed.
