Windsor Spitfires 2024-25 Season Thread, Part III

Just glad that he is tough cause that is what oshawa needs rite now some serious edge and can protect guys like Ritchie and sennecke from guys taking liberties on them. We didn't want a scorer just a tough forward.

Enjoy him. If he's on the ice, he's the first one into a scrum and will make sure you notice.

Good luck
Might need it.

So the player that "wanted" out worked out guess.
Was a lot if talk though..

Rosters offensively Windsor' definite edge. Goaltending pretty even when Joey is on. London definite edge on D.

I'm not sure they are that far off in offense with Londons depth and key top 6 players missing as many games as they have with camps, additions ect. ( Barkey mono, Cowan at camp n WJ, Haltenun at camps n WJ, adding Monthomery about a month ago, thats 4 of the top 6 who missed good chunks of the schedule) Bonk, Allen n Dickinson also add alot. I'm guessing they'll be close at seasons end in GF. Ya play with who ya got so no excuses. LK issue will be reintroduced 5 players back into the rotation after a month off n the depth played very well.
No doubt Windsor can pile it on offensively, it's impressive when they are rolling and that size can lead to extended OZone possession which can wear teams down. That would worry me as an opponent. Belchetz(sp?) is already very good and next 2 years will be a beast..
Goaltending I agree with ya, D ya LK has the names but it's more a team system n if Windsor buys in they have shown well in terms of GA.
I'm not on the it's all over n LK has the West wrapped bandwagon at all. Windsor and Kitchener are strong.
It'll be fun to watch play out.
I hope it's LK n Windsor in the West final but neither is getting a free pass, they'll have to earn it come POs.

Windsor had a bunch of chances.
London was sloppy.
Windsor is bigger players.
However if u don't use the size in the game, then u r just a tall player.

How’s that? 8 more goals than London this season. Offensive weapons gone for London for WJC.

Interesting to not see Elliott… someone afraid to ruin his undefeated streak? ;)
Doubt it. Meds played lights out against Spits last game. Lost in OT but was hands down the best player that game.

Cristoforo out there blocking shot after shot, one of which clearly stung... and he kept going. Don't tell me this kid isn't tough.

Trainer out now after he gets hit along the boards following that series... and he's off to the room. hopefully nothing serious.

Ya he took a good one off the boot it looked like. Hope he is ok n just swollen.

Spits are playing a good game, outshooting them 25-15. If these squads met in the playoffs I think it would be a lot closer than some think.

What happened to Joey Costanzo?

The third goal looked like he didn't see the tip in time.
The first? Fourth? Fifth?

If we get 23-24 Costanzo instead of first half of 24-25 Costanzo, we’re in trouble.
