Ride again??Welcome back, y'all!
Kennedy for Manzo would be okay. I want to see if there would be picks involved. I also wonder how much more Ride would have cost. I'll wait until we see something official.

I don't mind the trade. Manzo never more than a 6-7 pairing. If he can move bodies out the crease it is a serious upgrade for next year. Like the McNamara trade, if he's 1 oz better than Outwater or Martin were in better shape with OAs next year. That’s wayyyy too much.
That makes the deal even more of a head scratcher..Per Windsor Star - the condition on the 8th is whether or not Kennedy plays next season. If he does, it changes to a 2nd.
Two seconds (he’ll be back for his O/A year) a third and Manzo? That’s a crazy price. Sorry.I don't mind the trade. Manzo never more than a 6-7 pairing. So 2 2nds/3rd/4th n a player for 1.5 yrs. Or minus 1 2nd if a 1/2 yr add?
I am only disappointed because the only players from the 23 draft remaining are Nesbitt and Lavigne. Manzo had 31 gp this year that's not enough time to build up any trade value imo. Might be rough going in 26-27 especially if they want to go all in next year.I don't mind the trade. Manzo never more than a 6-7 pairing. Really lol Allen went for Jenken,2-2nds, 2-3rd, 2-4ths, and a 5th. Player plus 7 high picks. Humm that's close lol Manzo on his own maybe return a 4th at best or 5th. That's it. Fans overate the value of their own players. Two seconds (he’ll be back for his O/A year) a third and Manzo? That’s a crazy price. Sorry.
may as well have gotten Allen at that price.
Not all d.Correct.
Edit: It's worth noting that three (3) clubs have allowed fewer goals than the Spitfires this season. Say what you want about the D, but they've all either improved or stayed about the same.
Jenkin > Manzo and the picks aren’t close. But neither are Allen and Kennedy. Difference is Allen is gone next season and Kennedy is back.Really lol Allen went for Jenken,2-2nds, 2-3rd, 2-4ths, and a 5th. Player plus 7 high picks. You already said they're 3rd in goals against. Is Kennedy to improve that??The price to play this season is high. We've seen that with Kingston/Saginaw, with Konnor Smith, and with whatever Flint/OS did. Bowler got McNamara at a bargain price, hoping to get the most out of him. But, if you wanted that big veteran d-man, you were going to pay via limited options. Woodall wasn't being moved. Cristoforo has improved an impressive amount and wasn't going anywhere. Eichler's an 05 Import so unlikely. Lavigne has limited value in Jr. B. Do they go for a forward? Okay... Gaymes? Nah. Nesbitt? No chance. That leaves Manzo, who's been a regular this season, learned from some talented people, and now get a chance to thrive in NB. The picks are a lot but they're the price. If Bowler didn't get that Dman, people would have been rightfully frustrated. So, they got one. At least they didn't pay Konnor prices.
