Just have to be careful that they don't go too stupid because London's waiting just two games later.
Both teams will be watered down a bit, it should favor Windsor. Keep the extra curricular minimal because we’ll likely have to suit up Martin & Gaymes.

Windsor at Owen Sound, not dressed Mathurin,Lemieux and Winegard, 8th straight for Winegard.
Garden and Manzo back in.
Costanzo starts for Windsor.

Knights will be missing Cowan and Bonk for sure, likely Dickinson and maybe Barkey, for those 2 games. I doubt Finland camp will be started yet, so likely Halttunen and Nurmi will play. Any Spits likely to be invited to Canada camp? Not sure when USA camp starts.

Hopefully nothing serious with Mathurin? Can't afford to have him out long.

Don't think any Spits will be at team Canada camp. More likely next year.

Tuned in to AM800 pregame, According to Beller, sounds like nothing serious, just a little banged up so they’re giving him the night off.

Didn’t sound like there was much concern.

Maybe Greentree to Canada Camp? The rumors of Musty not getting an invite because he went the OHL Route makes me think Spellacy is too far down the ranks playing Canadian hockey to get the call. If there’s any truth to the reason being he turned down USNTDP…

He’s got the speed and size but just seems his hands need to catch up a bit.

On another note, Scott Wheeler is reporting on Twitter that A.J. Spellacy is going to get an invite to Team USA's selection camp for the World Juniors.
No surprise. Don’t think he makes it because of how great the states is this year but if he does he’ll be a bottom 6 role. Great for him though. Next year I think he is on team for sure.

Greentree should get an invite.

Abraham was on the bench and ice at the end of the game, but he didn’t see a shift in the third, with Garden getting a good chunk of his minutes.

It does feel he’s underperforming but I didn’t notice anything warranted of riding the pine tonight. He’s drawn back his penalties quite a bit.

It does seem that aside from the Saginaw game with iffy goaltending, he hasn’t really been able to get going.

I feel like Morneau has passed him on the depth chart with constant hustle, and heavily increased productivity with Protas and Greentree

Maybe he is nursing an injury?

If the Spits could mirror Owen Sounds hustle they would be unstoppable. Glad they put it together for the win. Hard place to get any points.

Spits gained another 2 points on the division tonight with Saginaw falling to Brampton and the Soo falling to North Bay.

Both teams have two extra games on us, but the Spits are up 13 on Saginaw and 16 on the Soo.

Might be an interesting deadline. Can Musty even be moved if he’s injured. Saw reports he’ll be out through the deadline with his Broken Hand, that could change things.

Re Abraham you would think if he was nursing an injury and wasn't going to play you would think send him to the room can't confirm if his not playing in the 3rd was injury related, though admittedly he looked different the 1st 2 periods looked lethargic.
That being said strong effort overall by the whole group only allowed 2 even strength goals I will take it,especially with Mathurin out, interesting he has missed 3 games this year so far and the Spits are 2-0-1 without him, have allowed 10 goals but have scored 22 goals one of those 3 games a 12-2 win vs Kitchener, a 5-4 OT loss at Sarnia and to-nights game.
Protas,Greentree, Morneau line on fire lately,Greentree winds up with the winner his 2nd of the season in that category, should mention so far this season 12 different players have scored a game winner this season,Morneau and Nesbitt lead with 3 each.
Ironically Abraham despite being 4th in team scoring has net to notch a winner this season so far,9F and 3D have at least 1.

All is not bad he has 5 PPG goals this season 2nd best Greentree leads with 6.
Spits after tonight are now 5-1 in their last 6,and 7-2-1 in their last 10.
Nice to see Costanzo continue his fine play thru these stretches.

We are real proud of our 11 16/17 yr olds, and our rookie coaching staff is doing a great job . The players, parents and fans have all bought into the programme .

Looking forward to a top 4 pick in the spring and another haul via trades at the deadline.

Growing pains for a couple seasons ( you know how that feels).

Solid rebound win after the defeat yesterday. Protas is a beast, the best import pick we've had since Sergachev.

Good for Spellacy getting an invite. Personally think we need to see more offense from him, but he always gives 100%. Hope he makes the U.S. squad. I assume Greentree will get invited but not sure he makes it. Also I think it's hilarious Cristoforo leads the OHL with a +28 rating considering the criticism he takes on here.

You guys did great on the Barlow trade. Any chance DeGray would be willing to deal Petrovski and McCue in a package deal?

I think pretty well anything could be on the table in a month.

I'd expect at least a few others will be shopped too .

Carter George will be untouchable this season , at least .

Windsor with a nice win.
Costanzo played well.
Top line did most of the work.
Some passengers.
Defense still fails to make solid passing n soft.

Kind of wonder if someone like Waddick would interest the Spitfires, being a local kid and all.
Not sure he fits the mold. Not really looking for a speedy forward that is light on finish. We have lots of those. We need, must have 1 more solid D and maybe 2. Also a solid backup goalie, not sure we have that now. I look at what happened to London when Brochu went down. Be safe.

I’m just trying to figure out if we’re buying or selling. I hope it’s nothing drastic either way. Can’t blow things up for next year, but it’s hard to say we’re not going for it when we’re up 10+ points on the division before Christmas.

If we move out an OA, we could bring in a more consistent backup option for cheap and probably increase our assets?

If we’re spending big I think we go for a returning 05’ D Man.

I have to imagine Winegards value decreases every game he sits. I feel we haven’t seen him in a month. He’s not a top pairing guy but I’d imagine there’s a team that could use his size.

anyone know what’s the deal with Easton Pace? NCAA commit supposed to be in the USHL, but haven’t seen him with a game played yet. If I’m remembering he was pretty highly thought of

The talk around the rink lately is minor buying with next season being the target.

I'd be happy to get a pick for him right now. He's 8th on the depth charts as an 05; that's not good.

I've heard this pop up a few times and he's one I'm hoping comes across.
