3-0 Oshawa. This isn't on Costazo; a 3-on-1, a screened goal, and a 2-on-1. Michelone in now.
defense??
maybe the more joey plays the more tape teams have on him and can find small weaknesses.

Wow 10 gga in the past 4 periods won't cut it. JC maybe should have had the 3rd goal but agree get him out until the staff can right the defensive wows. They have the offense to come back but my God we need to stop the bleeding first. At some point we need to learn to play tough physical defense. Like the Maple Leafs winning the regular season with all offense doesn't hold a card in the playoffs. Find the balance and find it now.

Rumour has it the team is flying north this week to play North Bay, Sudbury and the Soo? No bus legs for the Spits if true. 😁

Just one of those games. Only 15 skaters dressed . They were due to lose a game after 6 wins in a row. I agree, the Spitfires twitter stating they are 'tired' is a bad look and is dumb to tweet. They did not play Friday, and only had a 1 hour drive after last night's game. Tired is not an excuse. Just one of those games, every team has bad games. Playing two forwards short and 1 d-man short is tough though, I'll give them that, especially when it's Sobolev.

I will agree that every team has bad games and i was just hoping better defensive effort then lastnight. To me last night was just one of those games. They just got lucky Barries goalie wasn’t good either. As i write this the Spits scored so maybe there is still a chance if they tighten up a bit

To be fair, they ARE undermanned. Fatigue shouldn't be a factor, though.
does that work both ways for teams in past or future?
Oshawa shouldnt have to feel sorry for Windsor for not hving a full lineup.
Windsor can only dress what they have...

One of those games are becoming a pattern. I'd rather lose 2-1 and play defensively strong. On the positive great spirit on the bench by JC to start the period. Nice push in the 2nd so far. Not tired by the way the fire has been lit under their ass during intermission.

with windsor offense, there is always a chance.

When I said, it's one of those games, I meant it means it's one they are probably going to lose. I am not going to complain about a team that is 28-9-3-1 and has 1 loss since the trade deadline. The defense was solid in the three games against Saginaw London. Struggled last night and today has been ugly for sure. But as we saw against Saginaw and London, they can contain opponents. They need to hit the video room and work on the d zone all week.

We know their offence is fine. We know their energy (for the most part) is fine. Costanzo is fine. It's their lack of D coverage and, at times, sloppiness that's costing them.

One thing I notice about the d-zone coverage, is they collapse so low basically as if they are killing a penalty it gives the opponent so much room to pass it around. Why not switch up the d-zone coverage?

Also Michelone... oof, can't make a save at all , surely they have someone else in Jr. B that is better than this?Hopefully Onuska is back ASAP.

They play the 2nd highest scoring team in the league in North Bay on Thursday, if they don't make some changes to the defensive zone coverage, North Bay might score 10.

Now 14 GGA in 5 periods. Pathetic. All you Homer's that don't think the D needs a major structure change are fooling themselves. Yes we are not making the big saves but giving them the quality uncovered scoring chances are ridiculous. The Spits don't look tired unless the tiredness is being scored on. I know I am watching it. They need to apply SPF 50 sunscreen to the backs of their necks to prevent goal light sunburn.

lol, they definitely need to change the d-zone coverage. Try man on man including having the points covered. The way they do it now the opponents can pass the puck around at will like it's a power-play. Gotta get this sorted or there won't be a long playoff run. Hopefully Sobolev is back Thursday.
