Somewhere
just throwing this out there. People said the Savages still wanted out after Warren left. Could they be looking to sell at the end of season and see this as their last chance to win OHL title and go to Memorial Cup?

The piece that I don’t see any one talking about us losing, but I think is highly likely… Savard.

It’s not as black and white as, now he’s eligible for the AHL, or he’s aged out of this league.

But 6 months ago, i wouldn’t have guessed a team with Peer, Abraham, Christopolous, Maillet, Meidema and some 16 year olds, would be leading the OHL in scoring. (Yes we have Maggio, which helps tremendously but it wasn’t certain he’d be back)

I think Savard is the best coach Windsor has had in a long time, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s due for a job at the next step.

This may be our last chance to make a push in this brief “Savard Era” which explains going all in.

Makes no sense to build for 25’ or 26’ if we have no clue who will be on the bench, and the room will be very different - just in terms of bodies.

I do want the Spits to stay competitive which I’m afraid is unlikely after this deadline. Another decade without a second round appearance and I’ll be fully bald by the end of it lol.

There’s a lot of pieces that are eligible and possible to return next year, some which may even have higher value than we’ve acquired them for.

While the excitement of an all in run is there, I’m far less excited about a deal for someone like Wright who will definitely not return.

We’ll at least have more speculation by the about 6pm when tonight’s lineup drops, unless we get a surprise this afternoon.

Something must be brewing with ownership and/or Head Coach / GM are moving onwards after this year with this kind of spending happening.
Otherwise it doesn't fit the conservative narrative where BB says they want to remain competitive each and every year.

Not sure I like the sounds of this. What happened to being good every year? If they trade their good young players then they will suck next year and beyond. Had that too many years with Warren.
doubt it happens personally

Is the kitchen sink bolted down in the dressing room? What else is left to trade?

So much for the steady approach to contending every year that was, preached esp last year when they added pieces but not all in lol.
Not saying it's a bad thing, just a big change in messaging buy front office and I'm sure a few on here.
Exciting to watch.

I just can't see if niagara deal is done any chance at a Wright type deal. Who knows.

believe the niagara deal is done, they are also going after wright if hes back.
Wright has been officially sent back Now. Buckle up.

I'm guessing Bowler hoping the prices r going to be even more ridiculous next year and he can recoup some of the draft picks he gave away this year. 1 would think.
Prices are usually high if the league is hosting the Mem cup as they are next year..

Ok so theres some hard feelings now. Apparently london has jumped back in after windsor thought they had a deal. Some pissed off people at the arena. I liked the nia deal better. I agree not sure spits have enough to get him now. Sorry guys. Info came from a very inside name id not heard from for a while. Sounds like kingston called and verbally made a deal and london somehow weasels in lol. Looks like teams that dont really want him are driving up the price. Very slippery slope!

WINDSOR
Hebek could be kept as a depth D in case of 1-2 D injuries. Really don't have anyone signed who could be called up if D injuries became a problem. I think if they were going to just release him, they would have at the break.
