This "deal" has been festering for 3 years. Maybe the D can settle in now?

I think it depends on what you mean by settle in. On Friday they dressed 8 D this move wouldn't change any of that. They have 5 RH shot D on the roster Ribau/Ladd/Sobolev/Renwick/Jodoin. They certainly aren't moving the first 4 guys and I don't see how it makes sense to dress 4 RH shot, I can really see Jodoin being sent down it just doesn't make sense to have him right now. The question becomes if they can actually find a way to make 4 RH shot work and still find a way to develop DeAngelis who is in his draft eligible year and needs time to get noticed.

According to hockey db Jodoin shoots left.

So as expected with the issues surrounding this team, most of it is being ignored.

Leave the kids out, as was already stated, you don't lean on them to carry the load.

Coaching isn't the issue, half the league has gone through coaching changes as has been stated.

The issues revolve around guys like D'Amico because he looks disinterested, has stopped playing that agitator style. Would certainly like to see more offense but he scores in streaks so you know offense will come but the rest of his game is based conscious decisions. If he's not stirring things up or scoring he's not a useful part of the team.

Medina not being able to stop the first shot, looking disinterested and can't make a glove save most of the time unless the puck hits his body first. Like I said, looks like Piiroinen these days who so many defended until it was known he wasn't returning. Those same people who criticized myself and others for making "negative" comments about him made much worse ones once he was gone. Ignored the reality of the situation until he was no longer a Spitfire, how convenient.

Other vets as well as have been mentioned by others.

It's not about there record as much as it is about their play.

There are concerns with how players are playing.

Now if most or others are negative about voicing those concerns then how about those who like to rip on us that acknowledge these concerns and have shared similar concerns?

I guess if you post useless, cherry picked stats along with those concerns you're OK or if you can have enough buts in your post your fine or you worship some that do this your safe.

Yes I expected a lot more from this team and as others have concerns ( and have noted already about the vets). I'm looking for a lot more from Ladd, Cuylle, D'Amico, Robinson, Renwick, Henault and Medina. I'm also concerned about a coach who has no junior hockey coaching under his belt. Gut feeling he will learn on the fly but that takes time. What I'm not going to do is get on the " they suck told you so bandwagon". These are kids and they all learn and develop at different paces. Yes they should be better but I think for this team it will take a little longer. I'm going to give them that chance. Yes by December IF they are in the bottom 5 teams in the conference I'm going to be vocally disappointed, but not yet.

What has impressed me so far is the play of some of the new kids. I like what I see from Ride, DeAngelis, Peer, Miedema , O'Flaherty and Abraham. Problem is they are too young to lean on to lead the way. Right now they look like the better group.

The returning group does have some bright spots in Johnston, Zito, McDonald and Maggio but we need more from the vets and I think you will see them coming on as the games progress. Go Spits Go!

This isn't directed at you but there isn't anyone that said the team sucks or I told you so. That line is being used as a divisive tool to continually separate the two parties. You can still think they are a middle of the pack team and not think they suck. For example I thought the expectations were too high especially when we were expecting Foudy not to be around. People don't realize Foudy is a huge loss and will be extremely difficult to overcome (if he doesn't return.) He makes the top 6 obviously better, should make a PP better, as well helps insulate the young guys who now have to deal with a larger plate up front.

There is a nuance that some people are unable to understand or grasp. If I thought they were going to be hovering middle of the pack I don't see why anything they would have seen to date would change their mind. Just like there isn't anything that would make them change their mind that they will be extremely bad.

I don't think the coach in this circumstance matters. He doesn't have OHL experience but he's not dealing with a great hand right now. He's having to dress 7-8 D a night thus far, he's not getting any production from his forwards and not getting key saves from Medina. Savard isn't going to say anything publically but you can't tell me that he is happy not having 12 forwards at his disposal. All the experience with Letowski in Sarnia wasn't getting Windsor over the top either. Good for Letowski getting a promotion but he just used the Spits as a jumping off point.

WINDSOR
Can only assume Robinson still wanted out looking at the trade and a fresh start for both. Coaching change did not change the attitude. Savard obviously sees Jodoin as a promising player dressing him when we are short on forwards last game. More moves in the works? I'm waiting for this weeks games to be played out and see where we sit. Looking at the play improvement more than only the points especially from our goaltending and the overagers.

According to Spits website newcomer Nathan Ribau-D will be wearing #8,Connor Corcoran 's former number.
We knew he wouldn't get the number he wore for Sudbury which was #4.

Good to see Windsor come out of the first with no score. Downey has looked really good so far, calm and focused.

Ribau getting solid minutes in his first game as a Spit and looks solid as well. Looks like he's not quite in sync with all the systems but still off to a good start.

Windsor spending a lot of time in the box in what was a chippy first period but not backing down from what was likely the most physical period they've been in this season.
