Like I said before if Nylander had the heart and compete level that Knies did before he got injured in game 6, he would be a real superstar. Guy has so much talent yet his intensity and work level is always up and down.Man look at him defensively the last four games, I just can't. He was the worst Game 6 too. That isn't going to win shit, he's amazing when on, but he's unreal when he's off. He's like an artist, nothing gets to him, but if he's uninspired, he's a liability. So sick of blaming JT for this guy. I've praised him a lot this year, but man he drives me mad watching him sometimes.
Man, what a pathetic candy ass card to play. No, he doesn’t “lack heart” just because he’s not born in Toronto and has a foreign name.

I would like to keep Nylander because he's still such a talented player that can be a game breaker at times and we just signed him, but at the same time I don't think he's untouchable and if a team came along with a great package for him, I wouldn't say no to dealing him away.
He has a NMC, it doesn’t matter what you, the fan, says or thinks. Nor the management, if that’s what you mean. Hopefully, he’ll leave the Leafs in his own accord - a doomed franchise that will stay irrelevant for 60 more years eh?Like I said before if Nylander had the heart and compete level that Knies did before he got injured in game 6, he would be a real superstar. Oh? I’ve seen this a lot through the years actually - stems from Don Cherry comments and other personalities, wanting more “Canadian heart” etc on the team, calling out Nylander for the lack of his.Man, what a pathetic candy ass card to play.
I have a signed Sundin in my closet. I cherish it. Loved Kaberle, Salming.
f*** me, this place.
Marner cares so much - where’s he?If it hasn't happened by now, it likely will never happen. Nylander is our Kessel / Mogilny / Kovalev type. All the talent in the world but not a care in the world.
Headed out of town, he made his bed. A failure.Marner cares so much - where’s he?
Agree - Toronto has nothing going for them. Start new with Knies, Domi, Tanev and Will. No draft picks, but you got “empty net celebrating”-Cowan in the system, he sure looks like a second coming of Robertson, which is excitingDon’t care if we throw this baby out with the bath water. Was great against Ottawa, barely effective once the going got tough in FLA.
So much talk about how he could be the guy. Well, that didnt last long.
I agree he doesn't lack heart because he wasn't born in Toronto, he lacks heart because he just does.Sure, Nylander, just like every Leaf forward should’ve done much more these last 4 games, I agree.

Well you take the good with the bad with Nylander, but even if he was non-existent in game 7, he still did decent overall this playoffs. I think he can still help this team and he's under contract so I don't mind keeping him, but like I said if a team came along with a really good package, I wouldn't say no to trading him.If it hasn't happened by now, it likely will never happen. Ok, what about your captain? Or your previous captain? They’re all failures?Headed out of town, he made his bed. A failure.

He was crap like the others the last few games
I'd start over. They're all broken beyond repair now.Ok, what about your captain? Or your previous captain? They’re all failures?
True another big contract with NMC all over it, but who knows maybe he gets tired of losing and the right deal for the Leafs comes along that moves him to a real winner and he says yes. I'm not in a hurry to move him so if he stays I'm fine with it.He has a NMC, it doesn’t matter what you, the fan, says or thinks. Nor the management, if that’s what you mean. The second card is "but what about Marner" even though he gets blasted all day on here. I think it would be good if he stays but he badly needs to go on his Yzerman arc and figure out how to defend in the d zone at this point. He was bad for the last few games and got hemmed repeatedly.Man, what a pathetic candy ass card to play.

Man if you think nelander has heart I don't know what to say for your definition of heart,is it lack of defensive responsibilities, is it his penchant to avoid all contact, that's your opinion but it's not well held view, but you have to throw don cherry in your argument for what purpose.Oh? I’ve seen this a lot through the years actually - stems from Don Cherry comments and other personalities, wanting more “Canadian heart” etc on the team, calling out Nylander for the lack of his.
Ok, good for you. Sundin had more “heart” than all of your current team combined, but he was ofc wasted on the Leafs, poor dude.
Sure. I mean, he was your MVP in the first round and first 3 games of this one. Considering winning a playoff round in Toronto is almost like winning a Cup, that’s Atleast somethingTrue another big contract with NMC all over it, but who knows maybe he gets tired of losing and the right deal for the Leafs comes along that moves him to a real winner and he says yes. Results speak, bro. I am not hating on Willie bc he actually showed up unlike the others 10mil plus boys but he needs to be better.Last time I say this.
He was with two slow linemates against arguably one of the best defensive forwards in the NHL. Berube did nothing to fix that. Marner and Matthews competition went down after game 1 and 2. Why did they not take over?
Because Matthews and Nylander were failures as a line. That's why. Marner was a wimpy passenger.
Berube too stupid to change lines
Woll sucked g7
