William Nylander

Good defender Willy.

Sometimes, I wonder if people appreciate how much Willy saved Toronto's playoff reputation here. If he doesn't show up super sayan against the Senators game 6, we were going to lose game 7 100% Then he follows it up by announcing Toronto's leading contending status for the Stanley Cup game 1.

GLG

Agreed, he's also injured and slower. Haven't seen him blow by people with speed this postseason.
That's actually scary - he's injured, slower, lazy, and not fully engaged, and he's still been the best forward in most games, and overall.

He has mission eyes.

I think he wants to be the guy that brings Toronto to a cup and he wants to MVP that. That's the look I see.

Kinda like Gary Roberts.
I don’t think he cares much who gets the mvp he’s been the one that kinda flies under the radar the only one without a letter he still plays like he wears one though I think he just wants to be a winner on the big stage I believe him when he says that’s all he wants

It's Willy's team right now
That goal was a slick piece of work, not sure how many players can pull off a move like that. I've watched the replay 6 times by now and I'm still not quite sure how he did that.

I've said it all season long, don't worry about Nylander. If there's one player among our "big guns" you can count on to show up for the playoffs, he's the one.

Set the standard for a 10 mil + player the very first season he's on a 10 mil contract.

Makes Matthews, Marner and Tavares look like jokers.

Legitimate laughable professional comedians, hockey players second.

edit: Marner is changing my opinion. Still a fluke goal.

really love that version of Nylander

Look like he understand than still playing team system and playing great in D, be patient and the chance will coming until try to force it and get caught out of gas.

I've been hard with him a lot with time but i Really love his game in this post-season. Clearly the best version of Nylander i ever saw from him anf had been great 200 feet on the ice

He didn't care to fleece the team, this is probably why the media does not destroy him when he plays horrible.
The team just undercares period.

Historic game, literally world beating leaf. Perhaps the greatest postseason run ever from a Leaf.

Stolarz injury understandably sucked up the air, but Nylander doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Matthews and Marner are the best 2nd and 3rd wheels.
