That's actually scary - he's injured, slower, lazy, and not fully engaged, and he's still been the best forward in most games, and overall.Sometimes, I wonder if people appreciate how much Willy saved Toronto's playoff reputation here. If he doesn't show up super sayan against the Senators game 6, we were going to lose game 7 100% Then he follows it up by announcing Toronto's leading contending status for the Stanley Cup game 1.

Agreed, he's also injured and slower. Haven't seen him blow by people with speed this postseason.
I think calling him lazy/lack of engagement is a disservice, the stats show he's been good defensively as well. That's actually scary - he's injured, slower, lazy, and not fully engaged, and he's still been the best forward in most games, and overall.
I don't think it's anywhere near as true as some would like to believe.I think calling him lazy/lack of engagement is a disservice, the stats show he's been good defensively as well.
I noticed this amazing shot while watching this youtube video.

I don’t think he cares much who gets the mvp he’s been the one that kinda flies under the radar the only one without a letter he still plays like he wears one though I think he just wants to be a winner on the big stage I believe him when he says that’s all he wantsHe has mission eyes.
I think he wants to be the guy that brings Toronto to a cup and he wants to MVP that. That's the look I see.
Kinda like Gary Roberts.
Only certain people say he’s lazy. It’s called deflection.I don't think it's anywhere near as true as some would like to believe.
Marner, he’s got more assists and he’s a hitter nowIs there a better playoff performer on the Leafs?
Marner has become a monster on the forecheck, the Dmen scatter like cockroaches when they see him coming.Marner, he’s got more assists and he’s a hitter now
That goal was a slick piece of work, not sure how many players can pull off a move like that. I've watched the replay 6 times by now and I'm still not quite sure how he did that. It's Willy's team right now
