I think Tanev may have a leadership quality about him that's legit.

JT Morgan MM WN AM are not natural leaders. I never see any one of them firing up the team when it's needed. Willy puts in good lead by example determination in clutch situations so maybe he would wear an A. JT is probably fitting of an A. MM and Mo forget about it, one whines and throws fits and the other takes shits

He is also the new guy. Vet but still the new guy. He isn't the Gary Robert's type where he just leads wherever he goes letter or not. Gary was a super rare kinda person though.

I haven't gone through this whole thread but I think the more important of Berube's quote was "“Like our whole team, offensively, we’ve got to keep working and got to stay on. We need second and third effort everywhere. This league is a second-and-third-effort league. This time of year, it gets hard and we all know that, and we need second and third effort."

This is the infuriating thing about Willy and we see it alot... He'll go to make a play and lose it off his stick, and you see his shoulders slump and he meanders his way slowly back to the bench while the rest of the team has to turn and burn to defend. He just gives up on the play and slumps back to the bench. "Second and third effort" is too often not there. He is so capable of stealing the puck back when he's jumping, but we don't always see that.

Really don’t like the attitude of the core.
Like if they actually had playoffs success, they can have the only a few games in the regular season….but the fact they are just a playoffs team. They really need to have a better mentality. As I really don’t think they understand how to adjust themselves in playoffs

They've been bad since they got a break on the HST. It will take much more. Maybe the new PM can waive their income taxes for the duration of their contracts but they will have to pony up if they fail to win the SC.
