Will the Ny Rangers Make the PLAYOFFS this Season

If I had made this poll in September, it would have been closed for being lopsided and possibly unanimously yes very quickly. Things have changed pretty drastically since then...

Rangers are now in 14th place out of 16 teams in the conference. Just 2 points out of last place. We all know and have seen their struggles, and how bad it's been.

In the grand scheme of things however, they're not that far from a playoff spot. They have 37 points - Habs are in final playoff spot today with 41. And Rangers have a game in hand. And there's over half the season to go.

So what do you think, will they make it?

I'll personally say yes. I say at some point - probably soon - they make some big changes, probably a coaching change at least, and start to right the ship.

I think they will. They’re not the nearly as bad as the last 20 or so games and the WC race for the last spot in the East is pretty mid. They’re better than Pittsburgh, Ottawa, and Montreal.

I think they will put it together to realistically be in the picture come late March/early April, but ultimately miss in the end. They just dug themselves in too deep.

Nah they are done, will start moving pieces toward the trade deadline. Kreider and Shesty on IR, team mostly playing terrible hockey.

Agree. I also don't know how you go from Washington Capitals to leading the East as I type this.

Hockey is weird.

Unfortunately they will make the playoffs this year. However it will come at a heavy cost as Drury will overpay massively for players to make it happen and then trade our players for pennies on the dollar.

We should accept this season as is and just re-tool by getting rid of some of the core players.
