Slaf was by consensus an intrinsically better talent than for example Jiricek, so the fact he's developing better is not a defense.

We can take a look at where Slaf is now. He's playing on a first like with Suzuki and Caulfield, he's in his D+3, so his production should be much higher.
He’s got 20 points in 27 games played with them this year.

Slaf has been playing good for weeks now and still gets negative comments for some reason

Gets it shows who’s watching or not.
His line played well against NJD. They got destroyed in Detroit and they were barely noticeable against Winnipeg and Minnesota. I wouldn't say he's been consistently good. For me it's still a far cry from the backend of last season where they were dominant for 60 minutes many nights.

The only line who scored in winnipeg. He’s been pretty consistent for a month now. No lines are perfect for all their shifts, every game.

They aren’t as dominant right now but they’ve been pretty good. My point is that he’s been in a positive stretch for a while now and people wanna argue about AHL or him being supposedly rushed as if he was doing bad.

Is that an actual statistic or made up one?
I think that seems possible if it means players that transit at some point in the AHL. But there’s another school of thought that the AHL is more a waiting league where NHL clubs park their players if they don’t have room for them on the NHL team. It’s developmental in a secondary capacity.

Don't agree. He always had a stretch in the year where his play on the ice isn't consistent from game to game. This year it's better.
Those stretches aren't long and his consistency is one of his strengths. His dry spells are comparable to other studs in the league with half the talent (Suzuki had 30 pointless games last year compared to Point who had 28). I thought he was more impactful and more consistent last year even with it being good this year.

He's shown more consistency even in his early days than Slaf can even imagine. That's not to say I am worried about Slaf because I know he'll be fine, but using Suzuki as an example of inconsistency is an extremely poor one.
