This just screams Willander for Dvorak
Considering Cozen’s contract he might not be what Allvin/Rutherford see as a guy they want. That’s a high cost for a (likely) 3C.
Willander is pretty much untouchableI wouldn’t give Willander for 2 Cozens tbh
Maybe JT Miller.
He could develop into a solid middle six C, but his contract is a stumbling block. His value isn’t going to be a high end prospect. Van has opened a lot of cap, so could fit Cozens in, but the return wouldn’t be much - IMO.I think Cozens is most likely a solid 2C level player. He put up 47 points in 79 games last year as a 22/23 year old. He's having a down year this year but would be more like a 2C with 1C upside.
Definitely top six skill. Not too sure what his value is though? Boeser?Zegras?
“Unmovable prospect” must be the worst term people on this board is using. “No, I wouldn’t move this unproven prospect for anyone! Not McDavid, MacKinnon, Makar…no one, you hear me!?!?”Willander is probably the only unmoveable prospect.
I don't see it for a Dvorak, maybe for a Kyrou.

Depending on the return any player could be traded. Gretzky was. McDavid could be. We just never know for certain. So (imo) if there is an offer for Willander that Allvin/Rutherford cannot turn down, then he will be moved. Teams would be stupid not to ask for him, that’s for sure. He’s a can’t miss future top four.I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Aquaman doesn’t do rebuilds! He will force this team to trade more futures and go all in with this core. Good bye willander
Well duh, that goes without saying, but stop using that phrase then? He’s not unmovable - he’s totally movable for the right price. Hence, it’s a bad, nay, stupid phraseSince you appear new here let me help. When someone uses the term unmoveable prospect what they are really saying is outside of an overpayment the team would prefer to hang on to a prospect who is showing real NHL potential. It is not all about talent either. The entry level contract is very valuable to a team that wishes to compete and usually spends to the cap max.
What they are not saying is this piece is more valuable than an NHL star. It goes unsaid because everyone with a brain cell knows a McDavid or a Makar is not being offered for a prospect.
You are taking it to its most illogical extreme.
Is Barzal a C or more so a winger? You know who they should target? Mathew Barzel.
Garland, Hoglander, Lekkerimaki, 1st for Barzel, 3rd. Cap evens out pretty good. NYI can take this as a jump start on a rebuild. Looking at their roster, I don't see a lot of hope for the near future, nor do I see a ton of young assets that make me think it's worth holding on to mediocrity. Sell off Barzel and Dobson for good returns, sell of the older guys like Nelson, JGP, etc as needed, and look to rebuild.
Vancouver gets a replacement 1C/2C that they desperately need.
What pick and % of retention are you sending Vancouver's way to take him?Pierre Engvall is ready to make an impact on the Vancouver Tre Kronor
That would be a great trade for Van and also makes sense for NYI. Garland could easily fetch a 1st as wellYou know who they should target? Mathew Barzel.

You do wonder with the cap going up if you can get guys that are locked in long term you could end up really getting an advantage. Even if he plays 60 points in his prime in 3 yrs 7 mil will look like 4.5 now.Considering Cozen’s contract he might not be what Allvin/Rutherford see as a guy they want.
