Doubtful, the TV ratings will be ~twice as high if the Ontario teams are spread apart across two separate series.I have a strong feeling the NHL wants TOR vs OTT and FLA vs TB in 1st round.
More like 4-1, or 3-2, but hopefully that was Forsberg's last game for the Sens. Merilainen has been way better than Forsberg this season (1.99 .925 in 12 games), and has been great in the AHL, he'll be next year's backup. Merilainen needs to be called up to play when Ullmark gets the day off.Switch goalies last night and the Sens win 5-0.

If James Reimer is this big of a difference maker in an Ottawa game you might as well not make the playoffs.Switch goalies last night and the Sens win 5-0.
Here last nights game at 5 on 5.If James Reimer is this big of a difference maker in an Ottawa game you might as well not make the playoffs.
Most of the game is played no at even strength. Ottawa just isn’t that good there.
Carolina barely counts since it’ll be the last game of the season and they’ll just rest half the team. They’re locked into their spot already.Looking at scjedule....ottawahas 4 games against teams above them (TB, FL, CAR,) but they still have 3 with columbus
Montreal plays FL and CAR twice , and ott and tor
Columbus is 6 pts back and they play 3 times so they could be realed in even if its not with columbus but with other teans ( rangers, islandes, devils) competing and creste as tighter race. They have 3 upcoming games against Columbus, which is almost like a play in series for both teams. With the tie breaker, Ottawa has an 8 point lead on Columbus. Lose all 3 and that's down to 2, win all 3 and it's up to 14.
They also have a game against Montreal that could be important for both side.

it's not embarrassing to lose to the Sabres, they've beat very good teams this year and aren't as bad as the standings show. Plus it was only a 1 goal game and our goalie went Hasek on them.Embarrassing loss to mighty Sabres. Is there a chance Jackets/Isles will squeeze Sens out?
Well it’s still a 6 point lead, but yes Sens have the tiebreakerWe're both wrong, it's 7. Sens have the GW.
They're a very streaky team often brought down by a few weaker players. Guys like Forsberg and Hamonic have accounted for many of the teams' losses including tonight. I thought the Sens were significantly better than the Sabres tonight, but it is what it is.
I think they make it still but anything could happen. Still a lot of games to be played.
