Will Sens miss the playoffs?

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

lol I dont see an "x" beside Ottawa in the standings so i'm pretty sure you're the one struggling with math.

you also seem to struggle with history, as the Leafs are 4/4 in delivering spankings to Ottawa in the playoffs. I reckon you're too young to remember though.

If you're old enough to have actually watched those series, congratulations! You probably won't have much time left on this world to suffer more from Leafs hockey!

I think both NY's will pass them
That’s a tough one, if Senators play 500 hockey,
NYR have to go 9-0-1 to pass them
NYI have to go 9-1-1 to pass them.

That’s a tall order for both of them to do it.
Would be great odds on a parlay though.

Would love to see Ottawa play Toronto round 1. These Leafs fans bragging about winning a series 21 years ago give off the same energy as those 40 year olds who brag out what a great athlete they were in high school. Cling to whatever you can I guess.

And of course what happened OVER TWENTY YEARS AGO has a real bearing on the situation today.

Lol at the straw grasping.

I only see an “x” besides Washington and Winnipeg.

Hilarious seeing insecure Leaffan chime in on a thread that isn't about them.

Sure, the series could go either way, which is why we aren't rich from betting on sports. Only a complete fool "knows" how a series will go.

Here are a few major differences from 21-25 years ago...

The Leafs are the team known for great regular seasons and choking in the playoffs, but even worse! Their best players are mentally soft, especially in game 7s which they always lose. From 1997 to 2004, the Sens won 4 playoff series. From 2017 to 2024, the Leafs only won 1 playoff series.

The Sens have the Gary Roberts (Tkachuk), and the Darcy Tucker (Greig). The Leafs have the Alexei Yashin (Matthews). The Sens have the better goalie this time. And Green and Alfie work together as Sens coaches.

Now that I've taken out the trash, back to your regular scheduled programming.
