Will Quenville be coaching in the NHL next season?

He wasn’t given a lifetime ban so I don’t personally have the expectations of a lifetime ban. I think it’s reasonable for folks to have a long punishment if they’ve been in the wrong, but then serve that punishment and be able to move forward from it. The nhl is a bit weird: it would be odd to hire him perhaps as an assistant. Would you be giving your current coach the impression that they’re about to be replaced? But since Q has been gone so long you’d maybe think some time in an organization besides going straight to head coach would be good for everybody. I think it would make sense for him to be an assistant somewhere similar to what Jim Montgomery went though. Also makes sense for him to go somewhere the HC has 3+ years of term or is interim, but a lot of the places with guys with 1-2 years would maybe be awkward.

He may be cleared to return but it seems like most teams don't want any part of him, because he would be a PR nightmare to try and sell to your fanbase as well as the unwanted media attention.
I agree with this. Just because he’s “cleared” by bettman, people in the league really don’t want to deal with the baggage. Trevor Bauer was cleared by the mlb and no one will touch him.

Quennville doesn’t need money, and he is not going to be an assistant for a pittance. It’s either HC or nothing.

I assume your moral compass and you stopped watching the NHL when Bowman was back in. Chevadale didn't get a slap on the wrist.
Some moral compasses include second chances.
Cheers

S in their 60s shouldn’t need second chances. That’s who they are.

Just more proof that the NHL is an old boys nepotism club. There are hockey teams, players and coaches all over the globe but the NHL just keeps hiring these same old white guys over and over again.

Why not bring literally ANYONE else into the NHL? Maybe a SHL coach? or someone coaching really good high school hockey? Maybe a that dude at the laundromat that actually separates his colours and his whites, maybe he can fix your powerplay?

Please stop recycling these same assholes over and over.
fukn right, how bout a black coach? Why not a Chinese guy?

New coach of the Oilers after an early exit and rough start next year
This makes a lot of sense. The Oilers window is as long as McDrai are around. That could be as long as one more season. If the Oilers have an early exit I wouldn't be surprised to see Bowman bringing in a coach so he can have "his guy" behind the bench and Quennville has cup winning experience.

The Oilers also love to bring in controversial people into the organization for some stupid reason 🤮.

I wouldn’t hire him but he’ll be back for sure. Don’t see why he would take a job like NYR NSH or BOS though. Probably wait until a younger, more talented team is ready to ditch their HC so he can join a turnkey contender
Like Sullivan did.
