Please welcome our newest defenseman, Will Borgen!

He will fit right in on our blue line.

Reports are that multiple teams were interested in acquiring Will Borgen for a "Win Now" mindset. These teams Chris Drury successfully beat out were the Hershey Bears and Grand Rapid Griffins.

As always, please report to the Garden with a Blood Alcohol Content level below .9 on the night of your first game to receive a line of cocaine with James Dolan and a complementary No-Movement Clause.

Play decent enough, move at the deadline for more picks. Hopefully get at least another third round pick back.

Last year Lyubushkin went for a 3 and a 6

Edmundson went for a 3 and a 5

The Rangers traded a 4th for Chad

Collin Miller went for a 4th

It should be very easy to move Lindgren, Vak and Borgen if they are in total sell mode.

Borgen did not respond to the coaching change in Seattle. Everything fell off the table . Different system. Adding Montour shook up the group.

If the intention is to flip Borgen, this might work out well.

Kakko desperately needed a change of scenery. He will struggle in Seattle’s system.
Seattle is up tempo iirc. If he couldn't keep up in NY, he'll need to strap rockets to his skates.

Borgen is better than people are giving him credit for. He’s a big guy who skates well and plays a pretty physical game. I think many will be pleasantly surprised here

I’d love for this to be the case but he’s been awful.

Maybe he needed a change and there able to do flip him for something else in a few months but it doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence with how they want to build their D.

Borgen f***ing blows bro. He’s literally, a bigger and quicker Lindgren. No puck skills. I guess he’s fine as a third pairing guy with Jones? I think my issue isn’t necessarily the player, but rather seeing pizza bitch go full potato right before Xmas with this being the main return for Kakko.

Can't deny he's having a bad year, but I said in the trade thread I watch a lot of Seattle and this guy has some interesting tools.

Idk if this is the team to bring the best out of a player like him, but I see a lot of Klein in him.
