I got confused for a second as I didn't think the Pens were playing then I realized I'm in the wbs thread lmaoJarry is starting again tonight
TJ matching saves with Cal Petersen. That should build his confidence.Jarry is starting again tonight
THE Cal Petersen?TJ matching saves with Cal Petersen. That should build his confidence.
Hes honestly been pretty good. Whether that carries into the NHL, yeah not sure about thatTJ matching saves with Cal Petersen. That should build his confidence.
Maybe. But if he does, in classic fashion, they'll be like "Can't trade this guy!" as opposed to the correct line of thinking, which is "He has value, move him *now*."Hes honestly been pretty good. Whether that carries into the NHL, yeah not sure about that
Looking at the box score he had 4 shots. Maybe he’s still figuring out the pro game.Broz and Koivunen working out in WBS is nice to see.
McGroarty being a ghost down there is not.
More games, less points than both Imama and Johnstone. Yikes. Let's hope he's a fast learner.Looking at the box score he had 4 shots. Maybe he’s still figuring out the pro game.
Wasn’t the main appeal to getting him was that he was supposed to be pro (NHL) ready?Looking at the box score he had 4 shots. Maybe he’s still figuring out the pro game.
I mean they’re 28 years old? He’s 20? They should.More games, less points than both Imama and Johnstone. Yikes. Let's hope he's a fast learner.
I don’t ever recollect Dubas saying that’s why he acquired him. I know that’s been a common narrative but it seems like it was invented by the internet.Wasn’t the main appeal to getting him was that he was supposed to be pro (NHL) ready?
That's absurd. They're borderline AHL players. They absolutely should not have more points than a recent 1st round pick. Even in such a small sample size lol.I mean they’re 28 years old? He’s 20? They should.
It certainly was a common narrative by all the prospect “experts” who ranked him high on the lists they created which 99% of everyone else based their opinion of him.I don’t ever recollect Dubas saying that’s why he acquired him. Years from now we will look back on the 2024 trade of Jason Krog for Eric Tangradi.Broz and Koivunen working out in WBS is nice to see.

I think it was more the experts saying he is a year older so in theory a year closer to being ready.Wasn’t the main appeal to getting him was that he was supposed to be pro (NHL) ready?
It was more the “experts” saying he was pro ready as a 20 year old and HFboards comparing the d+1 stats of one guy to the d+2 stats of another guy.I think it was more the experts saying he is a year older so in theory a year closer to being ready.
It was but the closets thing I saw Dubas say is he will help both “short term and long term”.It certainly was a common narrative by all the prospect “experts” who ranked him high on the lists they created which 99% of everyone else based their opinion of him.
I’m not really referring, or caring, what Dubas thinks of him (although he’s 0 for 1 so far on that.)It was but the closets thing I saw Dubas say is he will help both “short term and long term”.
So you're saying he would be perfect with someone like...Brayden Yager? But really outside of a cant miss top 3-5 pick, I have no issue with a guy who can top out at a Kunitz level producer. Assuming they have the pieces to for a guy like McG to complement....It was more the “experts” saying he was pro ready as a 20 year old and HFboards comparing the d+1 stats of one guy to the d+2 stats of another guy.
I just don’t think he’s a play driver at the next level. He put up some points on a pretty deep and skilled Michigan roster. He is going to (hopefully) be a complementary winger and we have 0 skilled centers in the system to play with him and make him productive. Or, he’s just the next highly drafted big depth winger ala Mike Rupp.
Any guys they draft now will not be in the NHL by the time Rutger is like 24 and probably requests a trade out of here too.So you're saying he would be perfect with someone like...Brayden Yager? i think we will get our center this year so it won't be as bad as it looks. So you're saying he would be perfect with someone like...Brayden Yager?
