I'd still count Ohgren.Outside of Buium did anyone really have a good season?
Haight and Spacek?
Ritchie also improved, even if he didn't go crazy.

Ohgren did well in the AHL. I think if Ritchie doesn't get injured it's a good season.I'd still count Ohgren.

Yes, and the fact that hardly any 2022 draftees outside the top 5 are doing much so far, I don't consider him behind in any meaningful way.Ohgren did well in the AHL. I think if Ritchie doesn't get injured it's a good season.
Going to be a big part of Buffalo next year.Ohgren with another goal and 6 shots. Hopefully he has a really good offseason.

I liked his game when he was the emergency call up. He seems on the verge of being a guy that can score 20 in the NHL.Seems really early to be trading Ohgren. Ya, he wasn't great when he was up here, but that's normal for young prospects in their first go round. He's doing very well in the AHL, and he is only going to get better. He might not be a 1st liner, but i can see him being a middle six guy producing 25g, 25a in the NHL. That's valuable, especially for team lthat needs all the young stalent it can get. Old guys get injured, and/or fade.
The quick answer is that BUF doesn't need him. They need NHL'ers, not more prospects. The Quinn/Ohgren thing only makes sense if quinn has told BUF he wants out.Why does BUF want him? I'm not knocking Ohgren here. Just genuinely curious when they have so many of their own FWD prospects.
Is this a swap for Quinn so each team can reunite JRs linemates Ohgren/Oslund and Rossi/Quinn?
Possibly, but so are MacKinnon's, McDavid's, Draisaitl's, Pastrnak's, etc. It's just the way of the world. One other thing about Kap. His next contract will start when he is in his declining years. Odds are, we have seen the best he has to offer.
