Refs gifted us a powerplay in overtime. Why don't you man up and admit the Wild were the better team tonight. Good game, rest up on the flight to Winnipeg

Because they weren't they got lucky because that's what shootouts are luck

Leafs will never get a better test than that game and IMO, they did well. I hope Keefe tells them that. Plus, they should all thank Jason Spezza for the point he gave them tonight.
Getting that game into OT was as good as a win for me. Team could have mailed it in after going down 3 on the road. Well done boys.

Yep, I just hope it's a deep bruise, but it didn't look good with him holding his hand walking to the locker room. Minnesota is a dirty team, led by Foligno.

Some greasy teams play to injure. Minnesota has all the unmistakeable hallmarks. They go right through you and see what shakes out. I think if Foligno is going to run around all night the only reasonable response is just to reverse target Kaprizov.

Wild were the better team tonight, but with Marner it might have looked a lot different.

we came back from a 3-0 deficit and tied the hockey game. we didn't lose the hockey game.

we lost to gary's bad gimmick.

add the other 5 minutes of o.t and be done with it

during the regular season I'd prefer they just end the game in regulation. standings go by wins only. if game ends in tie, neither team gets a win. ties considered for tiebreaker when teams are tied for wins.

Don’t blame Keefe for sending out Kase. Dubas has computers making those kind of decisions

I do blame him for having Engvall on OT
I get that he had some skills but he makes questionable plays

Besides that, we looked crap on OT and Auston looked really lost out there on OT

Yeah you have to be proud of the comeback effort. I think it look enough out of them for the third period. They weren’t the same as whey were making the push.

Holl can go... almost the new marincin. Looks so fragile out there and slow.

Great comeback to get a point.

Looking forward to Minnesota coming to leafs barn. I hope Leafs smash them.

Can't win them all.

Onto a rested peg tomorrow won't be easy.

Go Leafs go

I think Liljegren comes in for Holl tomorrow.

Anderson rarely played today. Don't know if he got hurt or just suffered from a short bench when Spezza went back up to the top line. Ritchie and Simmonds only played 8:30-ish themselves. We are going to need these three to be able to play a good amount tomorrow.

Not to mention it's a frickin shootout. Literally anyone can score or miss. There's no right or wrong. The whole thing is just a crapshoot

There is absolutely a right and wrong way to do it.

The right way is some combo of Tavares Matthews and Nylander that way if you lose you at least know you used all your best options and gave yourself the best chance to win.

Kase over Tavares doesn't give you the best chance to win

And the refs showing contempt...can't believe these refs are professionals, so bush league sometimes...the missed call on Foligno kneeing Campbell on the head was embarrassing...refs were really determined to not give Minnesota a penalty after the 2nd period, until the undeniable slash on Spezza in OT.

Great comeback by the Bud's, just too bad they couldn't bury one on the OTPP.

There must be some kind of competition going on between Simpson, Bieksa and Hrudey, there is just no other explanation for some of the eyerolling, facepalming and hairpullingly brain dead stuff that comes out of their pie holes on a continual basis.

The Soup was icy cool tonight and deserves the 1st star. You can't blame him for the 3 weirdest bounces I've seen in awhile, but you can give him credit for hanging tough when the team looked lethargic and disinterested at times.

Vintage gets the 2nd Star for both the goals of course but also for his leadership tonight, he picked the team up, kicked'em in the arse and said we're not going to go down this way, excellent job!

The Minny 4th line gets the 3rd star, that line can be a difference maker in tight games. Talk about bringing it big and heavy and with some good skill.
