That was a great hockey game. NHL should adapt the NFL rule that a game cannot end on a penalty. That is, the Leafs should have been allowed to play out the full 2 minutes of their PP at the end of OT.

I posted the same. Been saying this for awhile. You just invite dirty play at the end of a game.

Yep, I just hope it's a deep bruise, but it didn't look good with him holding his hand walking to the locker room. Minnesota is a dirty team, led by Foligno.

I thought we were the better team, the Refs were dog shit, even with some of those calls/missed calls we should have won. Hope Spezza is ok.

The penalty call against Rielly was complete horse shit, both guys are holding sticks, 1 gets called and then a 5 on 3 for Minnesota.

Also why is Keefe sending Kase out over Tavares ?

I thought we played well to be quite honest, Minny had some major puck luck on their goals and Soup was solid once again. At least we got a point but jeeez I cant get over that Foligno play..how the f*** is that not a call. Minny played well too, but got some good puck luck and a couple brutal calls/missed calls. On to the next one.

The refs were pretty bad all around tonight. Not just with calls. They were in the way alot for both teams.

That bs at the end by Foligno was Bush league and should have been penalized.

Overall it was an average game by Toronto and they deserve credit for coming back to snag a point.

Hopefully they don't lay an egg tomorrow and Spezza is okay.

The Leafs got the loser point in a game they were terrible in. No Marner to add to that. They were the second best team all night. The Wild have a serious team there! Look for them to make some noise in the playoffs in the West.

Can't be disappointed with 1 point in that game. It was almost out of hand in the first. Good to scratch back and get a point. Losing a skills competition at the end of a game sucks but I'll certainly take the point.

3 goals for the Wild off of broken plays (bounce off ref, bounce off post, own goal) and the refs in their back pocket yet they claw back from a big deficit.

Can't complain considering the refs missed one of the more egregious, obvious goaltending interference calls of the season and also gifted them a 5 on 3 late.

I'd dress all three of Clifford, Simmonds, Ritchie against the Wild next game if this is the officiating approach.

Proud that they were able to come back from 0-3 and get a point against a good team and some really shitty reffing. It would have been so easy for them to just let this turn into a blowout. I'm done with Holl-Muzzin as a pairing. Muzz has lost a step and can't carry Holl anymore. Holl just isn't top 4 quality and honestly maybe not even bottom pairing on this team. He's a slow skater, takes long to make decisions with the puck and it's usually the wrong one, misses too many assignments. He's honestly been atrocious and should sit for a few if not be traded.

Leafs will never get a better test than that game and IMO, they did well. I hope Keefe tells them that. Plus, they should all thank Jason Spezza for the point he gave them tonight.

I don't like SOs but it is what it is until they change it. You missed a couple of pretty sweet goals though.

Agreed. It cheapens the penalty that's awarded.
