Habs fan here.

Just wanted to tell you good luck.

I was a big Patrick Roy fan when I was younger and when Bergevin hired Therrien, I was so mad haha.

Anyway, Avs in 5.

And I really hope a Stanley Cup Final between the Avs and the Habs

I can guarantee that Elliott will cost us a goal against. At least one.

Nice to hear. I live in Montreal so I hope this happens too. If Avs lose to the Habs in the final, though, my life might as well be over.

The way Elliott plays defense it's not that much of a stretch.

He's far from a good player defensively, but he's better than the likes of Holden and Wilson. Compared to Benoit (who's play has been in a steady decline since around the 25 game mark) he can provide better offensive game while Benoit has better defensive game and lets not act like Benoit hasn't had his fair share of brain cramps in the defensive zone, Sarich is marginally better defensively, but he's not anywhere near as good offensively.

In the end none of the players from the Holden, Benoit, Sarich, Wilson, Guenin group, even Barrie are worlds apart from Elliott when it comes to defensive zone play, so I find it odd and a bit unfair to single him out.

You bought them direct, right? No stub hub? The Avs only have round 1 for sale but you can get other rounds on stub hub. Also, why you said those tix were expensive. Each round goes up. Hope you get to use them. For the right reasons of course :)

Yep, went through the NHL website and ticketmaster. The hawks tickets also went on sale well before avs tickets did, so I'm assuming that has more to do with recent playoff history.

And that is a hope we can share lol

And Wilson wouldn't? So would you rather a guy that can pitch in offensively, or Wilson?

Edit - The laughing face is at Wilson, not you

Please be some news on Duchene before the series begins. Have we heard even a single thing since the injury? Other than the post about him possibly having a brace?

Would love to have him back for game 3 at the latest. Even without him, we're about as healthy as we can hope to be right now if Barrie, McLeod, Mitchell and Hejda are back for game 1.

My guess is that Duchene starts skating Sunday or Monday, right after the 3 week point from his injury, and the three day break between games 3 and 4 gives him a chance at playing game 4.
