Sorry, he’s at best a 3rd pairing Dman. And he’ll get passed very quickly.
I don’t know how you know this for sure, but I never said he is going to be a top 4 guy. I said he has the potential. I stated earlier that I think he will turn into a very good 3rd pairing defenseman/2nd PP unit quarterback on a good team.
 
If you Try and grab a guy that's already established.....you're going to have to pay but if you can pick and choose a player here or there with another team that has talent......but just isn't reaching his potential...... maybe that's the kind of guy you want to try to grab and take a chance, take a flier........ because if it becomes a fit......what did you give up for him practically nothing in comparison.

He’s not as good as DeAngelo. Both Lundkvist and Keane are more talented. I don’t see Pionk as being here for the long term.
