Crazy to think a few short years ago we had

Lucic Krejci Horton
Marchand Bergeron Recchi
Wheeler Seguin Ryder

Still had Boychuk Seids and Chara solidifying the back end.

We've lost significant pieces in the forward group and now with Boychuk gone in the D core. Where are the additions? In a cap world you need players on ELCs contributing in a big way. But for that to happen you need to be able to draft.

All those misses are catching up to Chia
In a cap world you cant keep everyone if you are successful. The eight of that group that are still playing today cost 44.5mil.

Of the 5 that moved on they replaced two with veterans (Kelly and Eriksson) and the three on ELCs they are looking at contributing right now Griffith, Smith, and Soderberg. Griffith is the only real ? out of that bunch.

Seriously, that was a damn clinic. I felt suffocated watching. The Bruins just had almost no answer for it and couldn't duplicate that intensity on their end. Plus, their ability to roll depth actually neutralized Boston's third line, which has been able to win its matchup's in previous games.

If they can actually start scoring on the PP, watch out west.

Their start this year is eerily similar to Boston's on 2010-11. Roster is similar too, minus the goaltending. Gotta give credit where credit is due though, Kuemper has been fantastic. I love their D-core, very underrated but very smart.

I'm still not sold on Kuemper and Backstrom, but we will wait and see. They are a great team, but I still think that is their achille's heel. They'll be a great team to watch though.

Same old Claude Julien, once you get a lead lets just sit back and let the other team take the play to us. Yes there are some players that could be moved, but I wish they would can Julien first that could be a step in the right direction.

Jesus Christ not this again....:shakehead:help:

Claude Julien does not tell his players to sit back on a lead. No coach does that.

And if you get your wish & Julien does get fired who replaces him? And don't say anybody. Give us names and the reasons why they would be a better coach than Julien.

I won't hold my breath waiting.

So this means in a couple of days we are going to go on a month long winning streak?

We need to play 60 solid minutes as a team! We looked lost and camped out in our D zone for most of the third period and it wasn't until we were down a goal with minutes counting down that they actually started trying again..... well it was too late! Clode better kick their ass today in practice and shake things up.

I'm tired of Bart and his terrible defense that always seems to lead to goals against. I don't care that he can skate the puck out of our zone with speed, unless he is scoring more goals than he is letting happen while he is on the ice he needs to sit.

Right now the Bruins have zero killer instincts. They used to be an outstanding third period team but not anymore.

The defense is clearly suffering growing pains from the new pairings, guys don't seem to be sure where their partner is going or why they do what they're doing. I think better communication is key here.

That second goal by Seth Griffith was just amazing. He seems to be coming along nicely.

would it surprise anyone if this team went the entire month of November without a regulation loss?â„¢

:laugh::laugh::laugh: The Boston media would love it. I don't think the rest of us [including the players] would though. We've had coaches like him before- Mike Keenan & Brian Sutter [though neither Keenan nor Sutter did much raving] with mixed results.

I said that this morning. This year's Wild team reminds me so much of the 2011 Bruins, and that was evident last night.

Kuemper and Backstrom will do fine for the regular season, but that's the one spot for me that keeps me from putting them in a category as a real cup contender. The circumstances with Harding just put that whole position in a quagmire.

Brodin could potentially be a big loss though. They have a ton of depth, and Spurgeon can play #1a minutes, but they're counting on Jonas for big minutes this year. Hopefully he just needs a week off or so to recover from the Kreider hit.

But yeah, the similarities between the two teams is eerie. I'd thought that up until last night, and seeing them live, especially against a team like Boston, really brought it home.

Oh believe me I am joking.

I think Julien is a fantastic coach, nobody out there right now could do better IMHO.

Tortorella is my favorite purely from a entertainment standpoint.

On a side note, we might have to prepare for the possibility that the Bruins are a lost cause this Season; but is this the Season we have to worry about the Canadiens possibly winning the Cup? That would be equally as horrendous. I didn't have a whole lot of fear last Season.

The Canadiens are not going to beat whoever wins the West.

We could beat Buffalo 7-1, and I still wouldn't feel any better about this team.

Sounds like Krug is banged up....might be a reason for the Warsofky/Morrow recalls.

@DanCagen: LRT: Krug blocked a shot late in game off foot, wasn't on ice when Rask was pulled for 6-on-5.

@BJaffe: Re: Bruins callups: Warsofsky for Krug (hurt foot/leg midway thru game then left bench (as noted by J&B) late 3rd. Morrow prob in for Bart

That might work in the Bruins favor though, no pressure. Just make the P/O. And NO, there is no possibility the habs win the cup. They don't have a #1 center, and they are short on talent with their forwards.

Well, I mean Chiarelli wasn't lying when he said he had 9 NHL ready defensemen. All 9 of them will have played an NHL game by game 12 this year.

Great! This season is starting out terribly. Bergeron playing with a bruised foot after a wonderful start to the season, Chara out for an extended time for the 1st time since signing with the Bs, and now Krug. What next? Rask? Seguin finishing with 160pts? Hope Krug is back soon. And hope all bad luck happens now, and the rest of the season turns out great.

Chia played with fire trading Boychuk, and now he's getting burnt.

And 5 of them are number 6 or 7th defensemen and 1 is a number 5-specialist on a contender.
