People talk like Kadri is so Innocent....he played the part well, and in the end he wasn’t going to fight anyone. We may have given it to him, but he gave it right back and still wouldn’t back up his actions. The focus shouldn’t have been there anyway.

Sure, we pressed the issue and Kadri continued to be a pest about it, ultimately ending in their favor regardless. They won because maybe we were to rattled, but in the end Kadri had little to do with their comeback so I don’t see why everyone is so worried about it.

Sharks played the fake tough guy role perfectly last night.

Well, minus the whole fighting thing, sending a message thing, and winning thing, they were great at it.

Would not the fake tough guy be Kadri for not answering his challengers?

The only people who look bad are those who didn't see the game. Look, I know it's Kadri and all but they were trying to fight him off the start. He was slew footed, he got hit to the back of the head a few times. Sharks players were targeting him the whole game. Even the coach acknowledged this

This has everything to do with Kadri and Thornton's fight last year when Kadri got some of his beard hair during it.

Kadri was just grabbing him Thornton is twice his size, it was a fluke that he got some of his hair that was to chest level during this. Just immaturity all around there.

Seriously, I doubt it was a fluke. I love Kadri but he knew what he was doing.

Yes of course, I'm sure Naz was just minding his own business playing a clean, quiet game when the big bad sharks started antagonizing him.

This thread is dumb.

He stood there on the opening draw and had the Skarks player go after him. Kadri is rarely innocent, but in this case he was.

They were pissed about a clean fight from last year, which makes no sense.

Even if it wasn't - it happened a year ago and it was at most kind of a punk thing to do but not a huge "code violation". Seriously - Thornton wants to go around looking like a f***ing wizard you have to expect some of the pukes in the league to go after it.

The Sharks took themselves out of the game and gave the Leafs at least two PPs while negating one they would have gotten going after Kadri. Defending their stupidity because Kadri is a "punk" is stupid. Deboer is stupid. Goodrow is stupid. Meier is stupid. The whole thing was stupid. It's not the 70s.

What do you expect him to grab? Most players grab the others collar/shoulder to get a grip, not Kadris fault Thornton’s beard was in the way. Or that Thorntom is 4 inches taller for that matter

I never said it was intentional - I'm saying even if it was, Thornton is accepting the risk of that by having a stupid long beard.

They were just talking about it here on TSN radio, that the Sharks broadcasters were very noticibly bitter Kadri wouldn’t fight anybody at any point when Sharks players kept coming at him in waves to fight. Why?
Because people wanted to see a fight?

I agree, there should be more fighting in the league. It's one of the more exciting and unique aspects of the game. An advantage hockey has compared to almost all other team sports.

I'm always upset if a player from my team turns down a fight.
