Kadri has 2 points and is a -6 in 5 games...
Ok 2 things can be true.
1. Kerfoot is a good player and useful for what the leafs need him to be. Responsible fast ect.
2.Kadri is better than kerfoot but less effective as a third line player
3. Makes less money than KadriOk 2 things can be true.

that fight changed nothing ... get over it.
"scoring" ability ... it doesn't matter how many scoring chances he has, he lost his hands and is not an offensive threat anymore, also his defensive play is pretty bad. Its still early and ill give him a chance but hes been the worst leafs forward by a mile.
They qualified for the playin and lost therefore missing the playoffs.Technically the Leafs did qualify for the playoffs last year, according the the NHL; the ones who decide.
The qualified for the playoffs, which featured 24 teams in 2019-2020.They qualified for the playin and lost therefore missing the playoffs.
He was the smaller piece to the overall trade... the fact that Barrie sucked as bad as he did but leafs still have a valuable asset out of the deal speaks volumes to Dubas negotiating. Apparently teams were pissed about the asking price for Kapanen, and commented Dubas has unrealistic asking prices. Dubas got a fantastic deal for Kapanen....Kerfoot is an NHL player. Is he worth a Nazem Kadri? Give your head a shake. And before some inane stat is thrown my way, if 100 percent of NHL GM’s, scouts, coaches, don’t agree with me you win. Zzzzzz. I mean it’s laughable, but have at it, when has that stopped....
Not liking Kadri or inflating Kerfoot, doesn’t change reality.

They are adorable fans who dream on their kids. Dont listen to fans, watch the games.
The Gallagher-Danault-Tatar line has been their clearcut #1 line for the last 2yrs. This year the Suzuki line is giving them a run for the title but its a close call between the two.
Even Strength TOI
Drouin 12:36 --- Suzuki 13:14 --- Anderson 12:51
Gallagher 12:39 --- Danault 12:46 --- Tatar 12:27
Toffoli 11:59 --- Kotkaniemi 11:58 --- Armia 10:45
Lehkonen 9:56 --- Evans 9:23 --- Byron 9:50
This.. even though result hasn’t changedAtleast we had kerfoot in the playoffs last year...

In the end Dubas got what he wanted. The original trade was Brodie and Jankowski for Kads. Since Kad vetoed the trade, it forced Dubies hand. This ended up being even better as Kerfoot is miles better than Jankowski. Dubas got a fantastic deal for Kapanen....
As fans, I think we should be ecstatic Dubas has a reputation of playing hard ball. Especially with his apparent reputation of being a softy in contract negotiations.
To have a chance at the cup last year the Leafs absolutely needed to upgrade their D but had little cap room (so needed a team to retain salary of the contract coming our way)... dubas did so, and like any trade... it had the chance to fail (just like Kadri could've bombed in Colorado). Barrie bombed in Toronto.... however the Leafs still have a valuable piece from the trade.
I think this trade was fine in hindsight.... you can't have your cake and eat it too. If leafs didn't strengthen their defense last season, posters would be laughing right now about how Dubas was an idiot for not strengthening an obvious weakness.
Because many people utilize that statement devoid of all context to make false and misleading claims and suggestions about the team. There's a very clear and explicit answer. There's a discussion about how the team did to be had, but that cannot start with ignoring the basic facts. We all know where they ended up, arguing the fact is arguing semantics. Who cares what it’s officially considered.
No, technically, they lost in the "Stanley Cup Qualifiers", which were factually a part of the 2019-2020 playoffs.Technically they lost in the "Play In" round, the play in round was meant to decide who made the SC playoffs.
Brutal Trade. He was the smaller piece to the overall trade... the fact that Barrie sucked as bad as he did but leafs still have a valuable asset out of the deal speaks volumes to Dubas negotiating.
