He does nothing that someone making 900k can't bring. Is this simply a case of Dubas not wanting to admit his mistake?
I'm sure he's a good guy, but what exactly is he "solid" at. Seriously, what does he bring? I watch every game, I just don't see what he has to offer. I wish him all the best, but I want to see the Leafs win. He is overpaid to the same extent Marner is.Kerfoot is a solid player. We don't need threads like these.
What does this even mean? Is this "jump" (that I've yet to observe) worth 3.5/year?He's got jump. Him/Mikheyev need to get scoring though.

One week into the season and fans are starting believe this team isn’t as good on the ice as they are on the paper.
I'd rather we pay 900k for a 900k player who can also be more than a 900k player whenever he's on.Perhaps he's overpaid, but he is an NHLer. When he's on he can be more than a 900k player.

I've nothing against Kerfoot personally, but I don't see the logic behind him still being around with our current cap situation. I fear the reasoning lies with our GM not wanting to admit defeat.

Never is a long time but the current supporting cast is certainly unproven and perhaps a cause for concern.Same as the past 3 or 4 seasons. The team with this core will NEVER win anything
He is a 26 year old center. Please find me a comparable one for 900K.He does nothing that someone making 900k can't bring. Is this simply a case of Dubas not wanting to admit his mistake?

I personally think we've been fine given the circumstances (could definitely be better though), but I mean, I legitimately can't remember the last time this team was out of the first round of the playoffs, and I wasn't born when they last won the cup. We've seen this story many times before. Great team on paper with large expectations but the on ice product doesn't live up. Like I said it's way to early and there are things to like, but I understand the overall sentiment. One week into the season and fans are starting believe this team isn’t as good on the ice as they are on the paper.

I was gonna say that too LOL ... it is funny to me that so many of us see how he carries his stick ... but he is not worst guy in our forward group but at 3.5M per you can get a winger speedster for quite a bit less as we don't want a forward group totally lacking breakaway speed either ... i still think we need a solid 2 way centre to play 3rd line ... Kadri was too good for that role either way but was hoping we could have got a Colton sissons type centre plus a late 1st rounder 2020 for KadriBecause we sold low on Kadri. He's just a thoroughly average middle-sixer. Almost every team has one. My main complaint is he takes way too many bad penalties for a guy who brings no grit/intensity. He uses his stick like a guy who wore a birdcage into his early-20's.
