If they fail to qualify for the post-season or go out in round 1 again, I could see them moving on, new voice will be needed at that point.
Perfect replacement. Top of the list for me.

I'm sure if MLSE pressed they could get Q re-instated.

Cooper is the easiest sell if he became available, very PG and lots of success in the league.

Sullivan will have had 2 cups as well.

Q has 4 cups (3 with Chicago and 1 with Colorado) and has done some crazy good things in Colorado, Chicago and it felt like he really got Florida on track but he's the toughest sell because I don't know if MLSE has the stones for the controversy.

Agreed, Q would be nice to have but probably not realistic.

If Keefe is turfed, I can see an interim and then they see what's available in the off season.

I could see Boucher getting the interim tag for the year or someone could come in with no assurances of being here next year, it would need to be someone that didn't have coaching term beyond this year remaining at the very least.

I don't know if I am Bruce Boudreau for example if I wanna pick up the Toronto coaching gig, live in a hotel for a few months etc only to not know if I will be here next year. I also don't know how much Brucey is owed by Vancouver.

I don't think Boudreau is what this team needs. Need someone with better credentials, IMO.

This may be the biggest week of Keefe's coaching career.
A poor showing this week may set the wheels in motion for a change over the All Star break.

Someone mentioned Patrick Roy, that would be interesting.

@Mess maybe we can merge the two 'next coach' threads?

Ya but would he even bother coming?just because he'd be available coach Q has won before
He may look at this band of merry men and a hard PASS
PLUS Q would want a say in trades and absurd 12 million dollar contracts
Especially 1 without a super star caliber defenceman

[/QUOTE]

Bring in Craig beurbe or quinvelle. Let them assess our personell, we have to do something.

The more and more I think about it, I think I'd be ok if they wait out the Q situation if they do in fact fire Keefe (fingers crossed).

I'm sure he would love the challenge, happy to be back in the game and would get paid very well.
That seems more like an off season move though.

Lou dont wait around. Although I will say the Phil Eagles are an example of an organization who might have been too quick to fire their def coordinator. They got worse, much worse. But Keefe is in the extreme overdue category.
