I dont want to hear the Leafs are in 4th place in the eastern conference. Or they need this and they need that. Ofcourse they do. But for now they don't inspire any confidence that they'll do much in the playoffs. They obviously aren't listening to Keefe. They need a new a new voice. Im just throwing out a bunch of possible names. Any other ideas? Brad Trevling I know you read HF Boards. Take note!!!

Who should be added to this list then? Keefe has had a multitude of years. The team is still very inconsistent. They rarely dominate a game. After last years disappointing 2nd round showing fans are fed up.

I think these are the most likely candidates to be the Leafs' coach at the end of this season. In order:

Keefe (yes, I think it's most likely he stays)
Boucher
Gallant
???
Mitch Love.

I don't really know a ton about Love. But, if memory serves, he's been an assistant in a few places, done world JRs, and his name has come up a bunch of times when an NHL coach gets fired. *shrug
 
They’ve done nothing this year to make anyone believe they’ll go on a long run in the playoffs. Seems like they’re following the exact same script as last year.
Something has to change and I don’t think they have switch they can turn on and all is good and they can’t trade all the players.

I’d give Gallant a shot.

Just curious to how it's obvious thwy are not listening to Keefe?

I am positive that the Leafs record reflects their talent.

No need to replace the coach.

Literally, anyone that doesn't look like and have the personality of a Teddy Bear.

Every time I see him I just want to steal his lunch for some reason.

It seems almost certain that if there is a change within the season, it'll be Boucher.

I don't think that it's close right now, and he was re-signed by Treliving in the summer, so in effect, he's his "guy" now. But I suppose a bad month could change things. IMO, they aren't playing that well, and Matthews and Nylander's offence are papering over quite a few cracks with this team.

Irrelevant. Brad knows MLSE can burn money if needed. Easy call while walking into a new team with bigger priorities. I hated the extension but it is logical.

I think MLSE underestimates how big of a problem the coach is.

Riddled with injuries and still have a solid record. Comparing these guys to the 2000 squads is laughable.
 
Not saying Keefe should go, but this list is unappetizing to say the least.

Evason should be a target.
Woodcroft as well.
Berube? Not sure.
Sullivan if let go in Pitt.
Cooper if let go in TB.

It shouldn't be as bad as the last time we took a coach off of a division rival. ;)

Probably being in a division with a team that set the all time points record and another one that tied the most wins in a season record has something to do with it.
