Of course Detroit plays Tampa tomorrow and Florida on Saturday.

I've never understood the logic of "The GM was there because their teams play against each other soon."

That's the coaches job. If he was really scouting opponents he would have been in Tampa watching the Pens Lightning game since that is next.

I would suspect these teams are all looking at returns for their big players from the Avs, or small players from the Kings. Others could just be scouting for future games as I would not expect a FLA COL trade anytime soon.
