None of those guys will make it but Heineman didn't look out of place last year in pre-season. He did great to end the season in Laval though and was a prolific scorer as a junior. I think I would rather try to develop him into a top 6 guy than give him a bottom 6 role with the big club like we did with Lehkonen.
Lehk was just stupidity on our part we wanted to create the great defender. 18 goals as a rookie skates miles and pays attention to details at both ends of the rink. Give MSL that right now and the player would get bumped fairly quickly. For some reason I've always liked players who can force their way up.

I don't think any of them will make the team out of camp unless we have a couple injuries, but I think Heineman will stick in the NHL by the end of the year.

Don't think any of those listed will be in the NHL this season, or at least not to start the year.

Honestly the only guy on that list that would really surprise me is Mesar...

A real surprise maybe Trudeau, Mysak, Struble?, Davidson...?

Riley Kidney could be a long-shot. Not likely but he has a better shot than say Mesar, who is not even AHL ready.

Until you remember Mesar did extremely well at camp last year and had a solid WJC. I would even suggest that his OHL season wasn't as bad as people think, and he created more offense than he was credited for.

It is the first camp where we see Farrell, Roy, Heineman, Mesar and Kidney together. Interesting moment to measure their potential, as I don't think we'll ever see more than 2 of them playing for the Habs at the same time. The cream will rise and the others will be traded.
