Or a defenseman. But yeah, definitely one of the three! I’ll even put money on itIt's either a goalie or a high-scoring forward, same as always.
Would have to be a high-scoring defenseman, and there are none of them left.Or a defenseman. But yeah, definitely one of the three! I’ll even put money on it
Bouchard if the Oilers win, but they'd have to win with Bouchard outscoring McDavid and Draisaitl which... well, the Oilers won't win if Bouchard is outscoring McDavid and Draisaitl.Would have to be a high-scoring defenseman, and there are none of them left.
Imagine the Oilers face the Panthers again and the Panthers prevail by an even team effort while McDavid beasts. Would they give him a second CS in a losing effort? I imagine McDavid would rather even miss the finals.
If the Oilers go to the Cup final again, I feel like the MVP selection will involve just two names, and neither of them will be Bouchard (although to be fair he would be racking up the points, as well).Bouchard if the Oilers win, but they'd have to win with Bouchard outscoring McDavid and Draisaitl which... well, the Oilers won't win if Bouchard is outscoring McDavid and Draisaitl.
Nurse and who else?If the Oilers go to the Cup final again, I feel like the MVP selection will involve just two names, and neither of them will be Bouchard (although to be fair he would be racking up the points, as well).
InterestingUp to now. IMO Leon Draisaitl
Don’t think so, Carey Price would have won it in 2021 if they didn’t heavily weigh the finals imoSorry for derailing the topic a little bit, I´ve always been wondering this, do you think the league could give the trophy to a player that doesn't play in the finals? For instance, a goalie on a wild card team goes on a massive tear, faces like 40-50 shots a night, makes hasekesque saves, let´s in only 1 or 2 goals per night, drags his sorry ass team in to conference finals where they finally lose. No skater stands out much more than others in the whole playoffs and other goalies are pretty basic. Could they give the trophy to this guy?
Imagine if not injured....Interesting
A lot of the oilers fans are telling me he looks hurt out there
Dallas has to get to the final first, and I don’t think they beat Edmonton, but I was waiting for this so thank you lol
I am not saying he deserves to win, but he has been an absolute force at both ends of the pitch. He should absolutely be a top 5 candidate at this point in time, and there is a good argument that he's been better than McDavid. Thoughts?
