Top 5 pick, that at the time of the draft was being called generational by some in the media and now he can't even crack a weaker team in Seattle and isn't even a top player on his own AHL club let alone in the AHL.

I think the whole exceptional status thing is following him like a grey cloud. For a guy who got hyped early as a potential can't miss 1OA, it's been hard for some people to readjust expectations on him as a good top 5 pick.

Well, it was wrong. Wright is starting the season as Seattle's 3C. I'd be shocked if he ever plays another game in the AHL.
