All of those players are around top 12 in salary, and while some don't quite meet your arbitrary top 12 cut off, none of them got paid for putting up 150 points.

They are all in or around the top 20 in salary. They are some of the highest paid players in the league, and none are particularly offence first players.

Maybe not necessarily the BIGGEST omission, but Rickard Rakell being left off team Sweden was a bit of a snub. Seems like he took it personally, as he's been scoring like wild since the rosters were announced.
