If I’m the GM and I’m possibly on thinning ice I am going with people I know and trust

I think if Sullivan becomes available he is here otherwise i bring back Sacco who has developed Geekie and has done a masterful job in the 35 day retool

If Carle really would come - home run

And not on list

You know I love you, Dan, but come on with this. It's been anything but masterful. Unless you mean masterful as a tank commander. I could get on board with that. We'll have Sacco to thank in part for our top 5 draft pick.

I already mentioned Ferschweiler with the Philadelphia job, but how about Boston University’s Jay Pandolfo? The NHL conversation has been around Pandolfo the last few seasons. Could this be the year he leaves for the big show? Could the Bruins make sense here? And then there’s David Carle, the winning machine. I’m told it would take a lot to get him to leave a great setup with Denver, but is there a team out there ready to make his accountant happy and bring in one of the best coaches in college hockey?

My Sportsnet+ subscription ends on April 6th and I've already set up the cancellation, so I'll be watching less Bruins games next year regardless.

But I'll still have a TV package with regular Canadian sports channels (for now), so I'll still get to see some Bruins games.

If Sleepy Joe Sacco and company is still behind the Bruins bench next year I won't be watching a single one of them.

I have zero desire to watch a Mike Sullivan re-run here either. The very thought of bringing back their head coach from 20 years ago is stomach-turning. Sullivan sucks, lucky to have the chance to coach Crosby and Malkin while they were close to their prime otherwise he'd be already back somewhere as an assistant coach.

Torts should never been seen again behind an NHL bench. I don't want his cranky old carcass anywhere near the young players on this Bruins team. Mason Lohrei might give put him in the mental institution. 18 seasons since his cup in 2004 and he's got just 4 playoff round wins and has missed the playoffs 45% of the time. Just not an effective coach in today's NHL.

These old coaches, they haven't evolved. Not Sullivan, not Torts, not Queneville, not Ruff, not Laviolette, none of them.

Bruins fans and management need to look to the future and ignore names and voices of the past. There is a plethora of young, modern, innovative coaches across the world of high level hockey. Coaches who can relate and get their point across to today's NHL player.

Go find one.

What do the coaches of these teams all have in common? Old, tired, recycled coaches who aren't effective in today's NHL. And yet there are fans here who want to see some of them behind the Bruins bench next year. Guys like Sacco, Sullivan, Torts and Laviolette. Just a pathetic old bunch of has-beens.

I have mentioned Pandolfo in the past, but his kid will be going to play at BU, and I am sure that would influence his desire to stay at BU, but who knows.

You'd expect the opposite but it played in the Blues favor.
Proof being was the slewfoot in Game 5 on Accarai that refs totally ignored which resulted in a Blues goal seconds later.

Thanks for getting my blood boiling again.
Not that I was over it but.... Seeking therapy to
forget it.
Nice throw though by Neely, a Southpaw
hurler like me!
