Who should be the captain next year?

Team hasn't had anyone wear the C since Phaneuf, pretty sure someone will get it next year. Just wondering who you guys want to wear the C next year. I really hope they don't just hand it to Matthews, there are more deserving players on the roster than him.

I know many feel it's meaningless but I'm dying to have a captain on this team.

It's between Tavares and Rielly for me. I'd lean Tavares since he has experience with it and I can't see how any of the players could complain about that choice.

You don't wanna choose between Marner and Matthews. Don't even go there.

No matter who would be named captain I thought you can only have two players as alternate captains in that situation, unless a team decides to rotate the A's.

If they wanted to name Marleau captain wouldn't they have done that? So I can't see them doing that just so he could be a transition captain until they name someone else.
