Name: Josh
Age: 23
Location: Hartford, CT
Current Occupation: Retail/commissioned sales. Pays the bills while working on the band thing (full-length record coming out sometime this year is the plan)
Sabres Fan Since: 1995, thank you Dominik Hasek
Season Ticket Holder? (Y/N): I wish. But I'm in the wrong state.
All Time Favorite Sabres: Hasek, Peca, Audette, LaFontaine, Drury, Campbell
Current Favorite Sabres: Miller, Myers, Roy, Ennis, Gerbe, Gaustad
Favorite Sabres Moment: My parents letting me watch Game 6 of the 99 Cup finals in it's entirety.
Taking a road trip with my dad to Buffalo to see them play Phoenix on October 8th, 2009, where Tyler Myers got clobbered for his first career point (assist) on a goal by Clark MacArthur (

Fun fact: I've seen Jason LaBarbera play many times in Hartford for the Wolf Pack (Rangers AHL affiliate), so I was thoroughly amused that he was in net for that game for Phoenix.
Sabres Jerseys You Own: I'll preface this by saying that I got a lot of jerseys growing up as a kid from relatives who didn't know what to get me for birthdays/Christmases, lol
All replicas and blanks but... two sets of the home and away Goat jerseys, one set is L, other is XL (nice size to wear over my shoulder pads, at least). Home and away "original" jerseys, and that red third jersey that everyone forgets about. I refuse to get a slug era jersey (even though you can get them cheap now online through warehouse clearance) and I don't like the current jerseys on account of the gray patches under the arms...looks like pit stains. I know the Abercrombie and Fitch crowd likes buying pre-distressed clothing, but I want to wear my Sabres jerseys (and raise my arms) with pride. The piping at the seams and the grey lines bordering the gold stripes could disappear, too. Also, the current 3rd's look fine except for the triangle numbers on the back.
I swear I'm straight. I just nitpick about my favorite team's jersey's cause the originals are awesome (IMHO, right there with the Yankees pinstripes in terms of best jerseys in all sports), and while the current ones are a lot like them, they're just not the same, lol
Team You Hate Most: Philadelphia, as they most classless city of sports fans, Boston, as the most stuck up city of sports fans, as if they have a long winning tradition there like the New York Yankees. They win one championship and stick it in everyone's faces. And like all true New Englanders, a lot of Boston Bruins fans started appearing out of the woodwork as the playoffs progressed (I'm tempted to ask them how many Cups Ray Bourque won with the Bruins. I bet they'd be all, "Ray WHO?"). And they wonder why the Whalers left? Answer: fair-weather people who only support a dominating success. See also: UConn athletics.
After this, my more annoyances than pure hatred. Pittsburgh cause of the Sidney Crosby shoved down everyone's throats thing (lesser now, thank goodness) and their band wagon fans, Washington cause they're all bandwagon fans and are clueless about the sport to boot. Toronto, as the geographical rival and Laughs fans being amazingly homerific about their very average lineup.
Personal (Pick 3)
Favorite Musical Artists: I'm a musician, so this isn't fair. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Protest The Hero; their new album really grew on me after not liking it at first. Dragonforce makes me happy as a guitar player to hear 3+ minute long guitar solos of pure speed and awesome. And on a random note: Powerglove. Instrumental video game metal. Prepare to have your childhood thoroughly ruined.
But basically, name any sort of rock or metal band, I probably like them, as long as there's -some- singing in it. Can't stand all screamed lyrics, with very few exceptions, such as Static-X. I also don't like a lot of the "new" rock and metal bands coming out, as they're not very original sounding and are not as talented...
I also listen to pretty much anything else as long as it has good writing and music...but pop music's been pretty awful for a good ten years now. Ke$ha is a poor imitation of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga is a Madonna clone, y'know? I also have a long history of playing in orchestras as a violinist, so I could rattle off some composers/symphonies I like that most people probably don't know of unless they listen to that kind of thing, too.
tl;dr I dig music, maaaaaaan.
Favorite Movies: Mel Brooks's comedies, The required viewing trinity of hockey movies (Slapshot, Miracle, and YOUNGBLOOD), and a small list of usual suspects that I can tell another time if you'd like. I'm not a big movie guy, but there are other favorites I have.
