Speculation: Who is the high quality player on your team who just isn't meshing on any lines?

For example, IMO on Winnipeg, Ehlers is an above average player, but does not seem to fit with any of the Jet's other top 5 players. Posting this thread to see what potential trades make sense.

I don’t know if the Flyers have the right line mates for Couturier, now that he’s lost yet another step. He’s still good at everything he’s good at, but he moves like his skates are made of concrete. He’d be great with a couple grind it out, puck possession guys who control the zone and apply pressure down low, but we’re a dump and chase team by Tortorella’s design, and he’s a dump and figure it out 20 seconds later guy now.

Mika Zibanejad, i wish he’d request a trade but stuck with him

Well no actually. Zibanejad has primarily been with Kreider, so we don't know how would he mesh with other linemates. Better or worse is still a question. Change still could be right option for him, but when our other star line is one of the best in hockey, you will not break that. Only option is swap him with Chytil.

He does have that 27 goal year with Columbus and in his first 3 years with the Habs he did score at a 24 goal per 82 game pace, so I don’t think he quite needs a McDavid to get 30. Just some chemistry with someone who’s a very good playmaker. St Louis has been good for a few of the Hab forwards, but Anderson certainly has suffered. I agree, he has shit hockey sense, hence why he needs a smart center and a coach who knows how to utilize him.

I think the 20 goals Anderson is now a thing of the past.

He's the type of player who relies mainly on his physical prowess, because he has such shitty hockey sense, and now that he's 30, his physical attributes are faltering and the split second he has lost makes him what he is now, in the NHL.

So IMHO, trying to find solutions to make him a productive winger again is a waste of time and energy.

You just have to accept what he became, use him to maximize what he can bring, and wait for his contract to end...
