I mean, I don't see any of it happening, but that's a proper prediction!

Leafs had the best chance of winning Atlantic last year. Also who get's the Rocket? I'll guess Pasta since you ruled out Matthews? Or McJesus?

Also, is Mitch leading the team with 120 points or 99 ?

I'll settle for getting to ECF !!! Frankly the rest matter little in comparison.
MacKinnon with 59 who also wins the scoring title outright and captures the Hart.

His teammate Makar puts a Norris season together with a PPG pace.

Colorado is the class of the west. The Rags finish 3 pts ahead of the Leafs to take the east but stumble in the 1st round

Yes finally! Mitch puts up his best offensive season ever and breaks the 100 barrier w112 and finishes #7th overall in scoring, and wins a Selke for his efforts and is named 1st allstar berth.

Inwill say Morgan Riwlly...

For the only reason than playing under Berube pauring with Tanev will give him more liberty to join the offensive group much more and raise his production.

Speak for yourself. JT was overpaid from day 1. His production in the early years of the contract are better suited towards a 9m dollar player. The fact a team was willing to pay him (allegedly) 13m is absurd.

I agree, I'm not buying 13M offer and he was never worth his 11M cap. At the same time, after we pay Mitch 13M , I can see posters calling 9M for JT a steal (presuming he'll have a great season).

I would trade him two years ago, resign him under 3M or not at all.

I think Phil Myers will surprise a lot of people this year like Benoit did. He’s big, mean and can contribute offensively. I see this being his last great shot and he will deliver

Who do you think will surprise and make an impact we aren’t expecting?

So has he made the team officially?

Why would you even care about any of this? Is regular season this and that really so rewarding when we keep losing in the playoffs?

f*** the regular season, who cares if he gets 79 or 126 points, finishes 7th or 27 overall, 1st allstar or no allstar and LOLOL he is not winning a Selke so you can fuggedaboudat right now.

Mitch playing like a superstar in the playoffs (and not just the first few games), that's the surprise I wanna see and if he does that, there's no telling how far this team can go!

Rielly regressed last year.
I think it will be even more apparent this year.

He was responsible for the Pastrnak goal as well.
Him and Sammy.

I think OEL needs PP1 time.

I'm with Jim Ralph: Losing the captaincy will help Tavares have a bounce-back year. Not talking 40 goals or anything crazy but he'll look much better overall.

At least we should hope. He's still the 2C and a very important part of this forward group.

I could actually see his production decline as a result of having OEL taking some reps on PP1 throughout the year to keep it fresh.

Yeah, he was awful last night.

On the positive side for other surprises, OEL looked good and Stolarz was very impressive - though that is less surprising as he was considered a very good goalie coming in.

McMann has been the most pleasant surprise so far.

He's got a real eye for the net. Not afraid to get into a skirmish either. I'm gonna go waaaaaaay out on a limb and say he wins the Calder trophy this year.

My earlier call on Michkov is looking pretty good.

But he doesn't play for the Leafs. McMann does. And McMann is turning out to be a pretty darn good player.

I love my meat and potatos.

If McMann was a cut of cow he'd be AAA prime rib slab'o'beef. He practically destroyed LA single handedly. Between him and Knies the power forward position is starting to look less and less like Bigfoot.

He might not win the Calder but McMann's already the Leafs rookie of the year.
