Don’t tell Snizz Mitch.

He’s still waiting for it….. ;)

Some good names here.

Intrigued by Murray and Stolarz. I think they both could wrestle the starters job away from Woll.

Desperately wanted Myers when he was still a Flyers prospect and interested to see how he does.

Would also like to see Timmins give more opportunity and it’s looking less and less likely with the RHD additions this offseason.
ditto, hope he impresses, if so another nail in Lilly's coffin..........

The surprise defensively will be Nicolas Mattinen. His game has grown well, he's got great size 6'6" 225 lbs, he can skate very well, was DEL player of the year last year and a RD. He's going to earn a look, and grab a spot once in the lineup.

I think if Holmberg gets quality linemates then he will solidify himself as a top-9 regular. Has shown so many flashes, and is big and strong to boot. If he could improve his shot I'd like him a lot.

I think Lily takes another step.

A see a few of you have listed Matt Murray.

I have no problem with that, but I'm here to remind you that he's a reclamation project (much like Jani Hakanpaa).

What this guy said.

I’d look to extend Pontus at term, then slide him onto a second line centring or being centred by Willy.

One of the few chances of a long-term post ELC bargain, who can outproduce their contract.

Yeah, I like where you are going with that, but what numbers could possibly work for both Holmberg and the team?

5 years at $1.5M per year? Would Pontus sign that?

5 years at $2M per year? Would the Leafs do that?

The first one seems too light to the player, the second one could be too heavy for the team. If I were the Leafsz, I might be OK in the middle here...5 years @ $1.75M per?

I’m not good with contract comparables, but 5 years buys a bunch of UFA time….so I’d guess that’s a lil light.
I think he’s getting pigeon-holed here as a 4th liner for this year….seems a moot point.

Yeah, it is light. Paying more than this and you start to lose the value from locking him up early

Robertson looks like a tidy tank this year. Think Berube will love his motor and give him more than 9 minutes a night.

He and Knies.

I'm going to Pacioretty.

Health is obviously a massive question mark but even as his body has started to fail him, he still puts up numbers. If we can get a good run of health in the top 6, I think he could push 55+ points and provide some solid secondary scoring.

Now this is all health reliant, it's a big ask.
