No . First round yes, top 10 no.great answer , so for now until Cole have a full season in NCAA we won't be sure
lol your joking right ?
remake that 2021 draft and lane is in the top 10 as well. wtf
Well I would pick Lane over Zellweger personally who I find a bit overrated. Another Habs prospect GEM from this draft is Adam Engstrom who I like better than than any of our D prospects outside of Reinbacher, Engstrom will end up pretty high in a re-draft top 10-15 probably. No . First round yes, top 10 no.
I would take all of the following over him:
- Owen Power
- Matty Beniers
- Mason Mctavish
- Luke Hughes
- Kent Johnson
- Simon Edvinsson
- Brandt Clarke
- William Eklund
- Dylan Guenther
- Wyatt Johnston
- JJ Moser
- Matthew Knies
- Olen Zellweger
- Logan Stankoven
He's a good prospect but people need to pump the breaks.
All eleven Habs 2022 picks would go top-5 in a redraft.
Lane was drafted in the 2022 draft not 2021No . First round yes, top 10 no.

Just shows people that don’t know what they‘re talking about are trying to throw their opinions out there, when they have no basis for it to stand on.Lane was drafted in the 2022 draft not 2021
Don't know why are people mentioning 2021 draft
All this talk about Lane, Cole and Lars had me secretly hoping Quinn Hutson has the best career. He’s 5-11 after all.the sharp money is on Lars Hutson but we're still trying to regather ourselves after being told by the fake news media for too long that Jared Staal was the best Staal Brother
Who will be better if the Habs also pick Cole next year

Maybe one of the dumbest comment on here.If one was picked 62nd overall and the other is gonna be top ten then it's pretty obvious who the better prospect is.
No one said top 5 , but top 10 could be possible, time will tell,I think Lane would go top 20 in a redraft but top 5 no way
No, you're just delusional.Maybe one of the dumbest comment on here.
Isn’t zellweger basically better at everything than Hutson?Well I would pick Lane over Zellweger personally who I find a bit overrated. Nope. Not saying Cole will not be better. Who knows at this time. But to simply state he will be better because of draft position and where scouts had him is beyond delusional. Especially after the year Lane had post draft. No, you're just delusional.
How so?Isn’t zellweger basically better at everything than Hutson?
If LHD is the BPA, you pick LHD. That's it.Wouldnt make sense for the habs to pick Cole with their 1st round pick when the LD depth (and D depth in general) is already so stacked
At LD, the habs have
Guhle, Hutson, Engstrom, Xhekaj, Harris, Struble, Trudeau
What does that have to do with my question? How so?
I don't recall Zellweger breaking point records for a dman last year? Even tho Zellweger did play in a weaker league.

I already said Lane could end up having a better career but he's certainly not the better prospect right now especially considering their age. Lane had a good season but that wouldn't make him a top ten pick in a redraft. It's pretty obvious that scouts are higher on Cole than they were on Lane. That's not even a knock on Lane, just the simple truth. Like I said earlier, this thread is pointless.Nope. Not saying Cole will not be better. Who knows at this time. But to simply state he will be better because of draft position and where scouts had him is beyond delusional. Especially after the year Lane had post draft.
That's not a simple truth at all. I could argue just as easy in a redraft he would go top 10. After the year and numbers he put up as a freshman that has merit. Your claims could have some merit but to just make that statement like gospel does not.I already said Lane could end up having a better career but he's certainly not the better prospect right now especially considering their age.
