In order

1.Dahlin
2.Svechnikov
3.Zadina
4.Wahlstrom
5.Boqvist
6.Tkachuk
7.Bouchard
8.Dobson
9.Hughes
10.Farabee
11.Smith
12.Veleno
13.Wilde

I could see this happening. Man if Dobson and Hughes are both there at 8 who the hell do we pick???

Like with every draft, I just want the BPA who will be in the NHL as quickly as possible and puts up tons of points.

ive had bouchard as my guy for a while now but I worry his stock continues to soar and he may be gone before the 8th pick. if there is a guy that's rising just as strongly its Dobson. I'd be ecstatic with either at this point. I do not want Quinn hughes or ty smith in that spot.

realistically I could see wahlstrom fall there if the dmen go quick so that's probably my third option.

I really think zucc goes to Edmonton and we get a second pick in that top 10. zucc and one of the later firsts. then it gets really interesting

I would love to trade Zucc to get two picks in the top ten

Bouchard has more offensive flash but Dobson to me has the better chance of confidently securing a spot on the top pair and being reliable in key situations

Pronman had 2 interesting tidbits about Bouchard:

Daniel S: What is Evan Bouchard's ceiling? To me, he seems to be comparable to Andrei Markov in his reliability and intelligent approach to the game.
Bouchard is an average skater in my mind, so more Markov after his multiple knee injuries.

Zach M: How much do team's take into account the age gap between draft-eligible players? For instance, Evan Bouchard is almost a whole year older than Adam Boqvist. Do teams automatically assume that a guy that is 17.5 years old is less developed but potentially has more room to grow than an 18.5-year-old?
It makes a massive difference and any good evaluator knows it.

Though he then basically says he likes Bouchard and Smith over Dobson.

I’ve never never liked this guy pronman. I don’t think he knows his ass from his elbow. In that article he also have Filip Chytil going 13-15 if he were in this year’s draft. It’s an assinine comment considering he’d be the number 1 center on the board and wouldn’t get passed Montreal’s pick

Chytil goes top five in this draft. Never been a fan of Pronman

If interested he clarified a bit more in the comments:

Maybe that was slightly too harsh. I have 14 guys in the top group, he'd be in it (thus making it 15), but I don't think his skillset is top 5 though. I could see an argument up to 10-12 especially after he showed in the last few weeks. He wouldn't be my top rated center.

That's absolutely crazy. If a 17 year old, draft eligible player, was doing what Chytil did in the AHL and also playing some games in the NHL, he woudn't be going 15th overall in the draft. Pronman is completely out to lunch on his evaluation of him.

I want a big RHD who can play on the top pair. I'm on the fence between Bouchard and Dobson. As skilled as Boqvist and Hughes are, I worry about their size and ability to win puck battles. The last thing we need is a PP specialist who has to play sheltered minutes 5 on 5. We need a guy who can play at both ends of the ice and shutdown the top players in the game.
