i wonder if we could grab someone like Rantanen or Marner for just a couple of seasons, then they can go to FA when the cap is at like 110 mil and they can cash in big for their probable last contract.

Im not even sure he’s averse to pressure but I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted a mental reset from being dragged by Toronto media

I think as a professional athlete you have to be okay with some level of pressure, that's normal. What goes on in Toronto is not a normal level of pressure, lol.

I would take Marner on this team for anything under 15mil a year. The guy is electric and I think he’s VERY unfairly scrutinized because he plays in Toronto.

1 of the best play makers in the league, makes whoever he plays with better… I’d easily take him here.

The Leafs don't win a cup every single year he plays for them. That's literally the reason. That's the expectation. It's nuts!
