After that, I like the Jets and the Stars. And the Wild. I think the Avs did too much to their roster, but I like them as an interesting story for the season.

If the Leafs, Habs and Panthers could lose twice in embarrassing fashion, I'd be all over it. I'd settle for 0-12.

I don't mind the Devils. I like the Kings. Dislike the Hurricanes as an organization.

Oh, and Jim Montgomery and the Blues can go f*** themselves to the Earth's core.

I will cheer for the winner of Colorado vs Dallas, really like MacKinnon and Makar, but like the moves Dallas made as well. Most important thing for me is that Montreal and Toronto do not win, hope they are both out in the 1st round. After that, St. Louis and Edmonton , but still would take either of them over the habs and leafs. If the habs and leafs are done in round one, that is my Stanley Cup win for this year.

I hope they win it:

Dallas - I like Otter and Seguin
Winnipeg - Pulling for the small market Canadian squad
LA - I like Kopitar, Doughty, Kempe

I won’t be angry if they win it:

Carolina - Not Brind’Amour fan, but I’d like to see Burns win one
New Jersey - Benign team, nobody to really dislike
Minnesota - I like watching them play, wouldn’t be upset if they won it
Edmonton - Not a fan, but don’t hate them
Washington - It would be cool to see Ovi win it this year.

I’ll be angry if they win it:

Colorado - hated them since the Detroit/Avs wars in the late 90’s…still don’t like them…although seeing 1/2 this board lose their mind if Coyle plays well and wins a cup would be fun
St. Louis - Don’t want to deal with listening to it if Monty wins

TB - Tired of them
Vegas - They don’t deserve a 2nd cup in their first decade
Ottawa - part of me hopes Brady wins one, but a bigger part of me wishes only bad things for Stutzle….such a conundrum

My summer will be ruined if they win it:

Florida - Might be different if Marchy didn’t already win one…but he did, sooooo.

Jets for me, they've always been my second favorite team. My older daughter and I are debating heading there if they make the finals.

I'd also be fine with Dallas or Edmonton winning.

And I really, really want to see the Sens beat the Leafs. I feel like that could happen.

I picked Dallas, but I gotta admit……Monty winning the Cup immediately after getting fired by Boston (just like Cassidy), would spark some interesting conversations around here.

Dallas - they've always been my B team; geographic proximity, love the way they play.

Winnipeg - always liked the team, and have fond memories of Scott Arniel on the Houston Aeros.

Ottawa - Brady Tkachuk should've been the captain for Team USA, and Ullmark.

Florida - I admit, I love their heavy forecheck game, and Marchand getting another ring is a bonus.

Washington - loved watching Ovie make history, but they better hope they can hit the switch; they were awful down the stretch.

Montreal - I played hockey for years and was undersized. I have enormous respect for Martin St. Louis accomplishing what he did during the era he played. Likewise I'm a fan of Caufield and Hutson, both of whom I believe are locks for Team USA next year. Caufield changing his number to honor Johnny Gaudreau was all class. And for those wanting to lose games for draft position, Hutson went 60th overall.

Cool with any Western team winning it.
