Prospect Info: '24-'25 Prospects Thread: Generation Z

He was in Pittsburgh this week with a full knee brace on. Probably won't get word on what it actually is for awhile. I asked around but got met with the usual "lower body."

Also asked around about Blomqvist. "He tweaked something" was the response.

Edit: Narrator: "They did not have to wait awhile..."
Out nine months, yeah, that sucks.

You can do other procedures to get down to that 4-6 month timeframe but unless the injury is very minor it’s a horrible idea. Not going to fully heal and strengthen and it’ll go again. Or something else in the knee will.
Yeah I googled it and it is 9 months. Not sure what I was thinking. Been a while since a relevant player of ours had an ACL tear. Maybe Malkin was the last one.

Having done my ACL/Meniscus, I can't imagine 4-6 months. Granted, I am a significantly far cry from anything resembling a professional athlete. But I did tear it playing in Cranberry, so that's like having stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Dustin Jeffrey comes to mind. He looked somewhat promising until that injury and lost a fair amount of speed when he came back.
