1. Connor McDavid, C, EDM
2. Nathan MacKinnon, C, COL
3. Nikita Kucherov, RW, TBL
4. Auston Matthews, C, TOR
5. David Pastrnak, RW, BOS
6. Leon Draisaitl, C/LW, EDM
7. Artemi Panarin, LW, NYR
8. Mikko Rantanen, RW, COL
9. Brady Tkachuk, C/LW, OTT
10. William Nylander, RW, TOR
Brady Tkachuk over Matthew is certainly a choice. Or any of the other 15 or so better forwards you didn't include

1. McDavid
2. Kucherov
3. MacKinnon
4. Draisaitl
5. Matthews
6. Pastrnak
7. Panarin
8. Crosby
9. Rantanen
10. Barkov

i think #1 is obvious
2-5 are interchangeable, tier 2, but clearly above the rest
I feel pretty good about 6 & 7 in that order

I think ~8-15 there are a lot of players with a good argument, so I picked 3 of them

I like this list , Hughes might be high but I’m here for it
Hughes is imo already up there when he's actually healthy, and is the only one of the top forwards still in what I'd call "development age" where you can project some improvement

Now of course, can he stay healthy all year is the real question. When healthy imo he's already shown it.

In 21-22 after getting fully recovered from that injury vs seattle during the christmas break: 36 games, 48 points, 21 goals
22-23 pre injury in february: 50 games 67 points 35 goals.
this past year pre injury vs St Louis: 9 games, 5 goals, 20 points
pre chicago injury overall last year: 31 games, 45 points 15 goals

Probably some homer, and some manipulation of stats in here.

But from what I'd consider a "healthy" jack hughes from age 20-22, that's 117 games, 160 points, 71 goals.

Or a per/82 pace of 112 points and 50 goals.

Overall he's at a 42 goal, 100 point/82 pace over ages 20-22, which is utterly ridiculous in itself

I rate Barkov very highly because of his superb defense, and proving that he is a winner, and leader of a winning team. I might pick him over everyone But McDavid if i had to start a team. Points are great, but not everything. Having said that, and not married to this order;

EDM guy
Mackinnon
Barkov
Matthews
Pasta
EDM guy's sidekick
Kuch(Great, but aging)
Crosby(how did this guy become underrated? He's an all timer)
Kaprizov(great, when healthy)

Panarin(aging, empty game besides scoring, but scores 120 points, so who cares)

HM - Can't decide between Rantanen, Marner, Nylander, Forsberg, the Tkachuk's, Point.

  1. Barkov
  2. Bedard after Chicago rehires Q
  3. GUCCY Matthews
  4. McDavid (when Nurse is not on the ice)
  5. MacKinnon
  6. Kucherov
  7. rejuvenated Nashville Stamkos
  8. McDavid (with Nurse on the ice)
  9. Crysaitl when the ref is looking and a player made contact
  10. Matthew Tkachuk after his dad calls him a "big p***y"
HM: Crosby, would be higher but just saving himself for the playoffs that he wont reach
