If we’re saying Jagr we might as well add Quick, Panarin, Kreider. Fox likely some day as well. All players are not retired.

I don't see Kreider making it. You've got to string together at least 7/8 straight years where you're a top player and even that sometimes isn't enough. He's got around 3 straight right now. The other thing is he's going to need at least 500 regular season goals IMO and with everything else even that might not be enough. Stanley Cups can help too. He has none so far.

Jagr will without any doubt at all. Panarin seems like he'll be a lock and Igor and Fox are definite possibilities in the future. Quick's a for real possibility too.

Even 500 goals isn't enough. Keith Tkachuk has 538.

Personally, I think Keith Tkachuk should be in, but that's neither her nor there.

Definitely no on Kreider, although I think he would have scored 500 goals if he wasn't so injury prone in his 20's.

Kreider is, however, a good answer for this thread.

Absolutely!!! And I bet he would really appreciate it. I spoke to Gresch online once. My dad and I met him once after practice. His asking about my dad really impressed me.
I've never understood the logic -- He broke most of Howell's defensive records and held them until Leetch broke them. So how do you retire Leetch and Howell but not him?

I seem to recall some people thought his having played center as well bolstered his numbers unfairly....however, i remember someone went back and did the research and found that he'd topped Howell on just his defensive numbers alone.

The question was who are best Rangers not in the hall of fame.

I don’t think Kreider should be in the hall of fame, as is the same with most names mentioned in this thread.
Hmm ok, your quote made it seem like you thought those players will be in the hall of fame when they retire.

“If we’re saying Jagr we might as well add Quick, Panarin, Kreider. Fox likely some day as well. All players are not retired.”

:dunno:

Mika Zibanejad.

And before you make a fool out of yourself, go and look up his point totals as a Ranger. I think a lot of you will be surprised to see where he ranks in Rangers history as of now.

I think the current ownership really favored the 1994 guys. Howell is in the HOF so that is pretty much automatic. I think when they announced Graves before Bathgate it showed that they really favored the 1994 guys. I personally do not want to be like the Islanders and hang everyone's jerseys but I think Gresch should be there. Gresch did not play forward that much outside of 1 season and its not like he was not a high scoring Dman. When I was a kid once a game for 3 straight games Gresch went end to end to score goals. That was really cool!

I'm still surprised Hatfield is up there....I was sure The Cat had him banned for life.

The real answer is Adam Fox.

Norris, 2 time NHL 1st team, 2 time NHL 2nd team

Those are HoF numbers as long as he doesn’t fall off a cliff which it looks like he might lol

Kovalev. He probably doesn’t deserve it but he’s in the conversation way before some of the other people mentioned here.
Kovy was my favorite player of his era. He made the game fun to watch. As you said he really is not HOF caliber but he is not that far away. He had 400 plus goals and almost 600 assists.

A former Ranger who really deserves a second look by the HOF is Theo Fleury but I think some political stuff may have held him back.

I don't even think he'll be nominated. Panarin, Fox, and Shesterkin are the only ones on the current roster that have a shot if they don't dip dramatically before retirement.
